WOW! "Backrus" from Bergen, Norway (my home town). "Backrus" surely translates for "hangover", now very suitable. Apparently a copy of a Colin Archer, the old wooden rescue boats of Norway. I wonder how it got there...

@@jallamann99 @Blimp It can happen to anyone from any town - I guess the owner had a major change to his/her life and the family had no interest in spending money on retrieving it, if they knew where it was precisely ... "Hangover" is a great name for a boat though!

AHOY ! Another nice video. Thanks. Light wind sailing is normally a joy, but it is something monohulls do better than cats. I was just thinking back to the impeded progress by weed in the canals on GT. Light winds are much nicer. You are not rushing to be home for Monday morning in the office. Just enjoy the slow life. PLEASE... get those fenders stowed when you are sailing. It looks SO amateur and scruffy with them hanging over the side. Yoshi is in another world from his previous life. Well done !

Mark you could try the GREEN classic oil next time you do an oil change. Comma classic is good with picture of a mini on the front, 20/50. Halfords also do it in their own branding. They are both green in colour not the brown stuff that smells bad. they come in a metal tin so you can pump the old oil out into an empty one when its hot. The green oil will take the soot out of the engine too which is an importand job for the oil in your engine. When it gets saturated with carbon it goes black and you know its time to change it out and the filter. That rebuilt engine will really benefit from the green oil, but get lots and never mix it with the brown stuff. its on ebay £27
@gregoryfietz38312 жыл бұрын
Good advice : I was taught DONT COMPROMISE on oil choice . Mineral and Synthetic oils are VERY different. . Synthetic has superior qualities , but , the engine components , pump, lifters , galleries , are designed for certain oils at certain temperatures . FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURERS GUIDELINES , if not the engine will not get lubricated and seize and break . You have great commonsense Mark , it will carry you past the finish line .
