Cool rocket turned out !!! 💥💥💥 I would like to do this. What composition of fuel did you use ? What is the nozzle diameter ?

Wow! This is fantastic--would love more information on your rocket!

I’m aware this is an old video… Just curious about what chutes you used in this flight. Did you make them yourself? I have my own WM carbon mach 2 that I need to find the right recovery gear for…I’d appreciate to hear your response! Thanks! Awesome flight btw!

@NSRP I used a 42” ultralight Spherachute. It’s rolled tightly into a nomex “burrito” and a tight fit in the 54mm nose cone. A 36” UL would be easier, I upsized to 42” since our flying field has a higher base elevation (over a mile). I recommend a tiny Spherachute drogue, Julie will custom sew little drogues, about a 6” size. You can see a pic of that in my latest L1090W Mach 2 video. Check out www.Spherachutes.com I am not in any way sponsored or affiliated, just a big fan!

That Warp9 grain really gives it that kick of the pad! I personally love the unpainted Wildman fiberglass kits and rock an unpainted Intimidator, myself. Yours looks so shiny! Did you put a clear coat on it or just polish the raw air frame?

Spraymax 2K clear. Still looks great after 3 Mach+ flights. Fairly nasty paint, wear a real respirator!

love to build one myself like this

Do you have to glue the grains into the liner for the k375?
@GBIV5 ай бұрын
Not required on the K375, afaik, just a good idea. I always bond grains to the liner with Elmers Glue All Max following AT’s instructions for the other motors that call for liner bonding. Make sure you put the Warp 9 grain in the right place (at the nozzle)!

I put this rocket in rock sim with the same motor and can only come up with 17,000'. What am I doing wrong. I am getting into MD myself, and dont wanna make a costly mistake.

Check settings for total weight, surface finish (polished in my case), fin thickness, and fin shape (air foiled). My field is at 5,500’ MSL so things go higher in the thinner air here and this was launched on a hot summer day (again thinner air). I also had a small boost from a tail cone. Good luck!
@rcfreak24934 жыл бұрын
what tail cone did you use here?
@GBIV3 жыл бұрын
I machined this one as a replacement for the AT aft closure (research rules apply). Now AT sells a 54mm aft closure tailcone!
