(6/29/23 UPDATE: Wow, over 100,000 views after uploading this five days ago! Did I create a new Simpsons meme or something?!)
An edit to the Simpsons episode "HOMR" and its' animation festival scene I couldn't resist doing, thanks to the language options on Disney+! Bart Simpson watches that weird "Transformazoids" anime, but this time, instead of it being an English dub, it's an English sub with the original Japanese voice tracks! It honestly sounds a lot cooler this way, combining the Japanese voices with Alf Clausen's stereotypical "anime" music of the time.

In one of the related party's chats, a bunch of us called him out on the fact he didn't really have a side. This went on until eventually he managed to trick himself into buying a membership to one of the people he was making fun of, and now has to talk like he's their number one fan forever. And so on with each membership to each person he buys. Clearly, they're quite sore about it, so he keeps searching me out to call me that, essentially becoming my number one fan, I guess. Just know, their modus operandi is to get the last word in, regardless of the quality of that last word.

It's based on an 80's anime called 'Totemo Damasa re Yasui", there's a temple priestess named Chuko Shitagi who loses her legs during some sort of accident caused during a fight, and a scientist replaces her ruined legs from the hips down with a mechanical mermaid tail. The enemy faction does have a man who can turn into a mechanical wolf, but he's not a very important character.

The show was going downhill by this time, but more than half of the episodes are still very enjoyable. @@wizardoferror9942 Yep! Though of course I think they screened some of the episodes first. Plus, in the early 1990s, the show was fairly raunchy, but nowhere as raunchy as the much later seasons, or “Family Guy” or “South Park” or whatever. In fact, at such a young age, I was amazed at how a cartoon could be pretty realistic, even with the yellow-skinned humans. (I especially remember that with watching “Lisa’s First Word” when I was four years old; the scene where Patty kisses baby Lisa reminded me so much of when some relatives would kiss me.)
@wizardoferror9942
@wizardoferror9942 Жыл бұрын
@@ZakWolf Exactly. Here’s something I must address about a show’s decline in quality: some episodes of recent seasons of a show can still be good. Family Guy has had a lot of eh or crap episodes in seasons 7, 8, and 9, but there are still some very good episodes from those seasons. So when I owned Volumes 6, 7, 8, and 9, there were select episodes I only went back to. Too many to name. Edit: I got bored of South Park fast. They kinda overstayed their welcome after seven seasons IMO. The series died when Chef left.
