I, for one, prefer Disney's animated originals to the live-action remakes, and am actually more interested in seeing Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024) than Mufasa (2024). I'm also planning to see the 2010 version of Tangled on Disney+ in 2025, and I'm still hoping to see the Superfudge animated movie when it comes to Disney+ (still no word on a release date as of this writing). For those of you who dislike the live-action remakes, let's just hope one day Disney will discontinue them. After all, in 2006, John Lasseter discontinued Disney's line of direct-to-video sequels after being appointed to the Walt Disney company. (In my video on Mowgli and Baloo's Jungle Jams, the unproduced Jungle Book spin-off pitched by John F. Fountain, I pointed this out as a reason as to why both Jungle Jams and The Jungle Book 3 were cancelled indefinitely).

I believe in 2026, Walt Disney Animation Studios will release an original animated feature. Let’s hope it does well enough for WDAS to do more originals. I have nothing against sequels. But eventually the original source of the sequels will enter the public domain in the US after their 95-year copyright term (as of 2024) expires. I bet the live-action remakes were Scrooge McDuck’s idea. Scrooge McDuck would probably have said ‘Don’t you dare make a live action remake of me, Disney’ Ironic that with Bill Cosby being disgraced, when he passes away, he’ll probably see the devil in the afterlife.

Speaking of live action remakes, you forgot to mention about Stitch doing a live-action reimagining of his 2D-animated Circle of Life crashing in the new teaser.
@arenjtumastens11 күн бұрын
As for the Lilo & Stitch remake, which I also won't be watching, I have seen how they even remade one of the animated version's original teasers where Stitch appears in The Lion King, being held by Rafiki. And yeah, they even said that Chris Sanders, who created and voiced the character, will be doing it again in the remake. I admit that the latter's a good sign and that the former's an interesting and nostalgic reminiscing of one of the funniest advertisings of the original version.

Judge Doom would be around of how Bob Iger is running Disney. Killing their animation heritage without A single drop of dip. Also, comparing Scrooge Mcduck to Bob Iger is like comparing Tony Stark to Bill Gates. Also, Disney habit of live action remakes goes as far back as the mid 90's.
@ZakWolf11 күн бұрын
Yeah, but in the 1990s they did only ONE live-action remake: "101 Dalmatians", and it was a good one, especially with Glenn Close as Cruella De Vil. Then they never did something like that again until "Alice in Wonderland" in 2010, and again it takes some different directions from the original animated classic. But yeah, Bob Iger is pretty much Disney's version of David Zaslav now.

2:16 Well, we already have enough live-action Tarzan features anyway. I've been watching the old classic Johnny Weismuller/Maureen O'Sullivan ones for the past several months. I have known about the 1994 Jungle Book film, but I prefer the other one they did four years later in 1998, which is called "The Jungle Book: Mowgli's Story". I still remember the first time I saw the original trailer for that film years ago, and it was very interesting and cool. By then I had already watched the original 1967 animated film a few times. And I've only seen parts of the 1998 feature, but I actually like it, especially with many familiar voice actors voicing the animal characters. They talk without their mouths moving, by the way, which is similar to how it was done in "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey", the remake of the 1963 version of "The Incredible Journey" by Walt himself and narrated by Rex Allen, both films I have watched, but I saw the former in school first. They hadn't yet the CGI technology to make live-action animal characters move their mouths when talking. Yet, in Columbia Pictures's "Stuart Little" (which just turned 25 on the 17th earlier this week, same day that The Simpsons turned 35), they were able to pull it off for the cats, including Snowbell.

@TheRandomEntertainer-o5r Even back when Walt was still alive, they weren't. There's a reason why films like Pinocchio, Fantasia, Bambi, Alice in Wonderland, and Sleeping Beauty all bombed at the box office in their initial releases. (Fortunately, they did find their audiences in later years and are now considered all-time classics.)

I honestly miss the era when Disney did ''True story'' flicks like ''Cool Runnings'' ''Remember The Titans'' or ''The Straight Story'', The last film they did this was ''Mcfarland USA'' back in 2015, And ever since then most live action (Walt Disney Pictures) films are of live action remakes of the animated ones, Pretty scummy that they announced a ''Tangled'' live action remake (even though it's now a full decade old now), And regarding the ''Sequelitis'' of Disney and Pixar. This decade (so far) is no doubt full of animated sequels not just from Disney and Pixar.
@TheRandomEntertainer-o5r11 күн бұрын
IMO, the only Disney live-action remake they did right was their Winnie the Pooh one: it takes place several years after the events of many series and films in the Pooh franchise and centers around Christopher Robin’s exploits as an adult.

I actually don’t mind the Disney live action remakes I first watched the live action version of the lion king at my school.🏫🦁👑 and when the live action version of Pinocchio came out on Disney+, my mom and I watched it and we liked it. We especially liked the Part with the clocks that Geppetto made From all the Disney movies, especially the toy story clock, considering the fact that Tom Hanks plays Geppetto in the live Action Pinocchio It would be cool if Pixar did a live action, remake of Toy story or something that would be so cool!😁 I’m also excited for toy story 5 If all those buzz Lightyear toys are the main villain I’m gonna probably laugh so hard and not take them seriously lol!😂 And hopefully it will help me to not be on my electronics so much, considering the fact that it’s toys🧸 vs Technology📱 Also, Disney cares about sending important messages out there. They want to put positive messages out there for people to be kind to another and to treat everyone the way that they want to be treated It’s probably the new Generation of animation that they want to use and to make There Movies even more magical to give it more realism and more charm to it and I especially can’t wait for the Robin Hood and Bambi live action remakes🦌🦊because I can tell that they are gonna be so good in Live action. I know you’re used to the old Disney and I am too, but these live action remakes are just unbelievably amazing!🤩 Also shame on you Zeke M. Wolf For blowing down the Flanders house.☝️😠 I really hope you will change your image soon Mr. big “Good” wolf Your son little wolf Would Love and appreciate it if you did…😔 anyways have a good day, Zeke and the rest of the characters on Zak wolf’s KZbin channel keep up the good work.👍🐺 I also hope scrat will be in Ice Age 6🐿️❄️ We need him back.🥺
