As a fellow huge superman fan, i have a lot of faith. Not only has Gunn proved himself enough to be worthy of giving a chance, but I think the culture is ready to bring Superman back. The Starman meme has done a lot to show what supes should represent to a general audience and MAWS has brought in a new audience with an adaptation true to the character. I really think this is the time for Superman to become prominent again, and i’m praying with all my soul this movie lives up to what it has to be.

I was in Hall H during the Marvel panel. For me, The Fantastic Four segment was the highlight of the panel. Yes, I got excited when they said they're doing Doom. I freaked out when I saw Robert Downey Jr. come out to the stage. Immediately tho, some concerns were raised. But! That FF part with the footage, hit the right beats and nailed the tone. It felt like watching live action the Incredibles and yet honoring Jack Kirbys aesthetic. That segment should be talked about just as much as RDJ coming back. Also Michael Giacchino is doing the score for the F.F, that is a slam dunk!

(My grandma being more of the “what and how?” end of things) Creatively it’s extremely limiting, because at best they play this for the angle of “omg evil dude looks like major hero” once the mask gets knocked off, probably at the tail end of Doomsday. Also there’s no chance he continues as Doom after these two movies are done BECAUSE of how much this is costing them + RDJ saying he’d only come back to work with the Russos. That brings up the question of why even have RDJ play the character, which leads right back into points A & B

I really don't understand the worry and confused side of casting RDJ but I get what everyone is saying they should have casted a new actor that's their opinion and everybody is allow to have one, but I think RDJ is awesome and will make the movie bring billions where however a new actor probably wouldn't bring billions to the movie. As far as DC Studios, they also said they're going for a big name for Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, and will begin filming in January 2025. So I think Lanterns will move forward regardless of the success of Superman.

I'm still not confident about Fantastic Four. Pedro Pascal is an awful choice for Reed Richards, I'd give him props if he shaved the mustache cuz at least he'd be trying to look different. In those leaked photos all I see is Pascal and not the character. The other three I can buy even Joseph Quinn is growing on me. But Pascal is too popular and everywhere right now. He should be putting his full attention towards Mandalorian and Grogu, actually wear the damn suit.

I still believe Marvel is going to shift all their release dates forward by 1 slot on the calendar at some point in the near future, so Captain America drops in May, Thunderbolts takes F4 slot of July which I think is much better counter programming to Superman then they can drop Fantastic Four in Blade's spot of November (family-time) and drop Blade in Feb of 2026. Just a minor adjustment to the schedule gives Marvel a lot more time to cook & bake these movies.

A great way to go would be to say that Tony was adopted on 616 and his real name would have actually been Victor. That way - our Tony still was our Tony but was just fortunate enough to be adopted by the Starks whereas another Victor was not. Kristian GOTG 3 is a MCU movie. Just bc you haven't seen Adam Warlock yet you can't say oh this isn't a part of the MCU. Thanos was shown at the end of Avengers 1 and had 1 scene in GOTG and wasn't in any other movie until Avengers 3 but every movie from Avengers 1 to Avengers 3 was part of the MCU. No character from GOTG showed up anywhere in any MCU movies between GOTG 1, 2 and Infinity war for both GOTG 1 and GOTG 2 were part of the MCU. GOTG 3 is part of the MCU.

In the comics Dooms whole story is that his face gets mangled so he hides it behind a mask. Just mangle his face and it doesn't even have to be a tony stark variant, it can just be rdj playing victor von doom. Marvel changed actors a bunch of times, some actors played multiple roles, and it worked out fine. I think it's great that one of the best villains of all time will be portrayed by a great actor. Just don't fix whats not broken, don't give us 'a different vision' of doom. The key will be how they write this, it could be horrible with bad writing, obviously.

Talking about caring, no one will care if a new actor come play Doom to end this Multiverse. RDJ, people will care and will want to see how they make his character different from Iron Man. Every concern or doubt that everyone has will be the reason why this film will be great “IF” the Russo brothers knock it out of the park like how they did with Infinity War and Endgame. I think it could work because Downey started the whole MCU and I think that he can do a great job as a villain he has a wide wage of portraying different characters and knows how to play them. I really do believe that the Russo Brothers and Feige know how to make Dr Doom work and by having Downey as the main villain also I think Feige isn't going to make Downey play a Tony Stark variant of Doom because that's going to confuse people and I think they know that so I believe that their going to have Doom with his powers at the end of Fantastic 4 Doom is going to come up with an evil plan and that's going to set up Avengers Doomsday. I really did think that Johnathan Majors would of sticked around as Kang I think that people are still going to ask about Kang, I'm fine with having Dr Doom as the main villain, but I don't want Marvel Studios to rush him I really do believe their going to have Doom show up in the end credit scene in Fantastic 4 to set him up and I think that the movies after that are going to mention Doom.

Of course bringing back RDJ was out of desperation.The MCU is lukewarm going into Avengers 5 with no Cap,and no Iron Man.Spidey will be there to take up alot of the excitement but for this movie to gain the success of Infinity War and Endgame it needs to make almost 2 billion dollars again. With the announcement of RDJ and a great story,and also 3 successful MCU before it I think Avengers 5 could definitely get back to Infinity War numbers.I would've liked to see a different actor but i understand its business plus i think it will work
