Hi Jim Brenda, A wonderful late fall video , Jim your training methods of young horses are excellent. Two words cover off the steps which are Patience and Consistency . June and Bree the full sisters will make a nice team mares down the road. Duke is really coming into his own working along side Bill.

HI JIM & BRENDA.......Calf weaning time, huh? Very noisy with both moms & babies unhappily separated. Good to see Pansy again and she's lookin' good!! What a beautiful cross of Belgian & Suffolk Punch's make. Bree & June look gorgeous together and their tails perfectly match ...... A lot of women would pay big money to get the "striping & blending" the Girls have naturally. They are going to make an 😂Impressive team when they are all grown up!! Forgot just how MASSIVE Ken is! He truly is a Gentle Giant......sweet, sweet boy! I can't pick out a favorite because they are All my favorites! The paddock areas are looking much better after the tiling and your DUAL PADDOCK GATE is great and makes things much easier!! Happy Birthday Jim! Remember when my Grandpa used to wean the calves. He usually had 20 or 30 of them but even a few can be so super noisy. I sympathize with you! It's nice to eat hamburger, roast or a steak but I think it's also good to remember all the work, sounds and smells! and the blessings of the Lord that goes along with making that possible. Thanks for reminding me. Hearing the cattle bawling really took me back to my growing up. I especially remember helping banding the bull calves and dodging angry momma cow. LOL, ah those were the days.

They work well together, and the step is perfect. I'm enjoying your film. Unfortunately, I suffer from Arthritis and now walk on two sticks. But when I was a young man, I worked with Horses on the earl of Bradford's estate. gone are the days I plough with Horses. love tuning in to watch your working farm. the old way. yes, I have ploughed with both tractors & horses both have valid stile. The tool & two ploughs you use interest me we never had a rid-on system the lick back in my day. what a breath of fresh air. to see agen.

My grandfather farmed with horses until 1948. He gradually transitioned to tractors and the horses were gone by 1950. I used those tractors on his farm from 1978 to 1983. Oh how I wish I had asked him what it was like transitioning from horses to tractors. Watching these videos helps me understand. Still, the stories passed with him.

PG here, I had a smile on my face the whole video! I love the Mooing throughout! I hear from farmers around here that it gets so loud they can't sleep at night. I could have sworn you had a lot more calves in the spring. If a recall you brought them in at different times? I love the longer videos, which I know are harder to edit and take a lot of your time. So Thank you for the extra effort, and Happy 29th Birthday Jim! On your opening or closing picture with the horses clopping down the road, is that a picture of Lady and Bill? I notice they are not wearing the newer harnesses with the red in them. We always buy a calendar, but I like the T-shirts and winter hats; it is hard to decide. I might go with "real horsepower," but is your name anywhere on that t-shirt in smaller print?
