This is literally what the community has asked for and we r still bitching. Double primary viable. Special weapons are limited. Primary gunfights are better. If u lose a duel it’s cause the other primary user hit more crits. Abilities are nerfed hella bad. I think we need to just accept that this is better for the game and be happy for once.

Its definitely an improvement that needs to be refined further. I appreciated a weekend of trials without Wells, Bubbles, cloudstrike collaterals, shotgun aping, and threadling spam. I think that the ttks for pulse rifles and auto rifles need to be improved, because those weapons feel terrible. Bows probably need to be reigned in a little as well. Otherwise, the game mode feels fine. You can actually look at thw scoreboard and know whos getting close to special and adjust your playstyle accordingly.

The game mode is imbalanced for bad players. The game snowballs too hard when an already good player is given special when everybody else only has primary weapons.

Checkmate ruined Trials. It just makes it harder for us bad players to go Flawless, get carried, and so on.

While I agree Checkmate isn’t good for Trials, especially if you’re solo queue. Trials is also endgame PvP. If you’re a “bad player” don’t rely on your teammates to win the games for you and carry you to the Lighthouse. Keep playing until you can find a play style that works for you and work on it. Blueberries like you are a huge problem for the players who CAN get to the Lighthouse without help. You’re just dragging us down with you. Play 3v3 comp and you’ll progressively get better the more you play. Then go into Trials. You’ll notice how you play is significantly better.

@@Nat_Peterson i get what you mean. However, I just want the Cataphract GL3. I’m a STRONG pve guy. Bungie gave me the 5/5 PvP godroll before giving me any good pve rolls. So the only way for me to even get it at all is Trials. And the only way to get the engrams to focus it is thru winning matches to rank up. It’s a stupid system and a much more stupid game mode just for a weapon that I would get any other way if I could.
