I assumed T'Chaka gave Howard the vibranium for Steve's shield so hearing it was HIS father who did that was a surprise and an interesting extension of the BP mantle in the MCU

Touching on what Jay was saying, I think it would be really cool at some point to see What If...? give in universe explanations as to why older Marvel comics adaptations existed independently from one another or why other heroes didn't exist. In real life it's all rights issues and other characters just not being necessary, as well as a shared opinion that a shared movie universe just can't work. But I wonder what creative bullshit they can write to explain why the Avengers never existed in the X-Men or Fantastic Four films, or why all the classic 2000s and pre-2000s Marvel films never once crossover, with the exception of sequels and spinoffs.
