“Most people give up one step away from everything they want”. You made it all the way to the European damn finals. You are one of the most elite in the continent. You are so close to victory. Keep pushing.

Hey elliot , I lm a 17-year-old female athlete from Egypt. I wanted you to know despite the huge differences between us I relate to you 90% of the time you inspire me so much and I feel a little bit less alone whenever I watch your videos. I'll be competing in 10 days and I've developed a small injury in my ankle yesterday. Making it my 4th consecutive injury In less than a year. I was considering quitting. But seeing this video now I feel encouraged to not let go,that there's always a bright side and things are gonna end up okay .thank you elliot for being true and real .pray for me🙏🩷

Maybe recovery was affected by something, or cumulative fatigue hit from so many races. Analyse then draw out lessons and return to the next goal with a neutral mindset, unaffected by the last races. Never lose belief, that's all you need to be ready for your big day in the future.

you're in the pro ranks Elliot & you deserve it. you have not failed. own it.

Not winning a world/olympic medal does not make one a failure. Your in the top 0.001% in the entire world. Your amazing. And to many people you are not only the opposite of a failure, but you are an inspiration.

Huge respect for sharing mate. I remember walking down a tunnel like that after finishing 4th in the Athens Paralympics 5000m. Longest walk of my life:-) Rest up and see you on a start line soon.👏👏👏

Great video. Love your honesty and the fact you're showing the other side of the sport. Keep going, keep chasing your dreams, Elliot.

Firstly Elliot, well done for getting there, being a captain and running well in the heats. I understand your disappointment but with the Olympics coming up take this as experience. I have no doubt that you will get there and do well. I really enjoy watching your journey. There is plenty ahead, believe in yourself and your ability and most importantly don't overthink it and enjoy the journey, like you said in your speech what a great job to have ! 😊

You're a leader and an idol in the sport, don't ever forget that. You will continue to be competitive, I know it

I can't remember who said it now but I always remember a sprinter saying you always lose more races than you win, it doesn't make you a loser, it's the nature of elite track racing. I love that you always vow to keep fighting regardless of how disappointed you are in your performance. In any case you can only keep moving forward. Good luck in your next competition.

Use that frustration to kick on for trials and olympics! Dont dwell - keep moving forward.

Thanks for the insight at the Europeans, Elliot. Strange one. Form looked good, not illness, fatigue, nerves, lactic or positioning. I trust your coach has the key to this.

Great video but what is your opinion on Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam track idea
@paulyoung53936 ай бұрын
You have the speed, you have the strength and the experience, I was surprised with that race in the final. However, exactly the same could be said of your training partner Jemma. Any chance you could have both been suffering from something caught in your training group? Keep fighting, you are so much better than that last race.

❤❤❤ thanks for sharing. My biggest question is if your hoping to do 800m or 1500 at the Olympics?

Heads up Elliot!! Even the hour of the day can affect us, maybe (never had to try) you can train hard efforts at 8pm?

As team captain of GB, was it a bit awkward having CJ Ujah in the team? How did other team members feel at the time? As for the 800m final, I was gutted for you. (I am a bit of Gilsey!) I couldn't see what you did wrong, it just seemed that you didn't have the juice.

Didn't you run sub 1:44 in the US a couple of years ago? What was different? Don't read your speech!
@proyouservicesltd36526 ай бұрын
I think you would do better in the 800m. You ran one of the fastest indoor 800m in history , 1:43, so I am puzzled why you abandoned the 800m as your main event.

Are you truly failing though???? You’re pretty much a world class elite runner, period. That sounds like success not failure to me.
