I just started Zoloft, I know it takes time for it start working. My depression has been very debilitating for me, so I’m hoping for some progress. Sometimes you have to try multiple medications before you find something that works.

Sarah, Its so good to know that you are feeling much like yourself and balanced after going on medication. Same story here. I am from India. Had 13 long years of dark suffering existence with depression and anxiety. On medication since last 2.5 yrs and feeling much much better. You very rightly pointed out, that the before phase was really dark and i never wanna go back to it, even if i have to be on medication lifelong.

Ok here's the deal as you know I have been on Sertraline with 1 MG of Lorazepam every day for the last 9 + months , and now I am up to 150 MG of Sertraline for the last few months , I have been good , and what I tell my therapist is that I could care less if I am on this stuff the rest of my life , 99% of the time I feel normal , and a better normal then I did before I had a nervous breakdown last July . I am SO thankful for my medicine and my therapy , amongst my family , MMA , and everything , I think you and everyone else should have this mindset to avoid further Anxiety & depression : Don't even worry as to if and when you stop medicine , this will causing ruminating , which is a Death Knell for us sufferers . this is paramount to just living life in the present as best as we can, just BE ........... and you won't worry how much , or how little , or when or not to stop taking our Meds.....hope this helps ! ☮🙏

I was off anti depressants for a while after being diagnosed with ADHD i used to be on Sertaline but being off the meds was bad. I am now on Lexapro as well as my ADHD medication. I feel like i will probably take some kind of ssri for most of the rest of my life. If i get pregnant or something i may be off for a period of time. But my experiance is although i have deperessive epidoses and some anixiety on an ssri things are much more level and I usually cope well. When i have been off including being weened off i did not do well. At the end of the day though one day at a time and whatever will be will be.

The sucky thing is that every anti-depressant has completely killed my libido. So the choice is either never had sex again and be able to "function" enough without wanting to die every day or be able to have sex but feel perpetually suicidal. After a few years, I've decided to come off them.

Wellbutrin does the same (In a different form) but without the side effects you hear about constantly of SSRIs. It’s worth mentioning for your future Knowledge. You can take antidepressants and not have to settle for one with the listed effects you don’t want.

I’ve been on Zoloft 200mg for about two years now. I’m thinking I need to switch up. I’ve lost so much motivation and feel tired all the time. I also lost my mom to suicide back in 2018 when I was 15. It’s a weird kind of grief bc you don’t know why they chose to leave you. I already had depression/anxiety before her passing but wasn’t on meds. Some days I feel it all and some days I am numb. Who knows if it’s either my depression or grief that makes me feel the way I do. I am new to your videos but so far I already feel less alone in my mental health journey!!

So glad you are here Sarah! 😊 20 + years in total of agoraphobia here. If there would have been more knowledge with my doctors then and medication information, I would have taken Zoloft then. I’m so lucky to have found Zoloft and that it has worked well for me. Keep on Keepin on everyone! Don’t ever give up! ❤️😊

Without them im in a dark hole of depression and suicide thought .. with them its difficult too without many emotions some suicidal thoughts but can handle.. any mental illness its so debilitating and heartbroke.. I just started Zoloft yesterday. My first time taking any type of medication for my mental. It was a weird first night.lol almost like I entered a portal or something because I felt ways that I didn't know existed. I looked at my hand and was kinda freaking out. I was scared so I forced myself to sleep. I'm on my second day and I'm going to be taking it again before bed. Soo far I've noticed tremors, momentary sweats, a weird queezy feeling but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. And barely any headache. I've needed to rest though because when I get up an do to much I get lightheaded and more queezy. Also I definitely feel something changing mentally. It's happening extremely slow but I definitely feel something happening. I'm will keep going and hope to come out better on the other side. Side affects are the only things I don't like soo far, hopefully they slow down an fade off

That's honestly my biggest fear is being on them for life. I've been on them for 23 years. I was on Paxil for 22 and then recently have been on Lexapro and then moved on to Zoloft. I tried to stop cold turkey a couple of times just out of desparation of not wanting to be on them anymore. I've still been thinking of ways in my head to try and get off them but have been trying to come to a place of acceptance. Hope you are doing well with your medications and pray God's blessings and peace for you and thank you for sharing your journey!

I’m good on Zoloft, I started at 25 MGs now I’ve been bumped up to 100MGs and I feel so much better. For the longest time I avoided taking medication because of the stigma associated with taking antidepressants but after I’ve been on it for some time now I’m glad I started taking it. If I can I want to be on it for as long as I can, my confidence levels have gone through the roof! It’s not the end all be all but it works for me and my depression.

@sataniclivesmatter2 жыл бұрын
@@thehumorousfilms3525 Yeah that’s an unfortunate side affect but as long as you’re taking it regularly over time it will pass. Depending on your sex drive the side effect will go away if you’re sexually active a lot. When I first couldn’t experience a orgasm or stay erect I thought something was wrong. After seeing my Dr I was told that’s a common side effect. Now I really don’t notice it and a horny prick like every other day ☺️

One day you want to go off of it because of some side effects and then you will realize how much damage this drugs can do to the brain. Your central nervous system will adapt to it and becomes very dependent on the drugs (not addicted) what follows is a severe withdrawal wich can take years and feels like living in hell on earth. At the moment you can not feel it because the drugs covers everything. One day you will remember my words
