Where i live in Missouri you can title and register home made watercraft. you must bring receipts and documentation for all the materials and work that was involved.

@@allstarpawn396 Yep, it varies by state. You can register a homemade vessel in Florida and get a HID and title with some effort. My comment was made in jest because it can be a huge hassle in some cases.

It reminds me of a 6' fiberglass V hull boat I used to own. The state of Az registered it as a 6' ski and bass boat. Was great for myself and my son who was 6-12 years old when we used it on the local lakes. It held the both of us, including a battery and trolling motor .... plus our fishing gear ... but that was about it .... I was told that it had run a 2hp 2stroke gas motor ... with one adult. I bought it for $50 ... used it three or four times a year for about six years, just putting it in the bed of my toyota pickup truck ... and then sold it for $100 ... and still sometimes kick myself for selling it. Now retired ... it would have been fun to take out for some solo fishing.

Hey Bud I have watched your videos, like a binge watch a TV show. When the rare occasion comes that I watch tv. I think that is kind of an amazing thing when you think about it. These are just your own videos. I love these videos. I cannot quite even explain why. I think it is a mix of the relaxed attitude, killer boat and drone footage, sweet sounding outboard motors, and most of all Seeing your skill when you work. The quality is that you care about what you do, and you know about what you do. I am from Southeast Alaska, and our home is so different. It looks funnnnnn there. When I come to the state, I will offer to pay to be on a one day episode of your show. lol. No joke, I will offer, ask. This looks like such a fun and different place to be on the water. I am a traditional shipwright, boat worker. I mainly work on running my timber and Cabin Business these days. We have a number of boats for the business and pleasure and I do all the maintenance, engine maintenance. I purchased a Yamaha Enduro 48hp last summer, which is what got me onto your videos. Ok. Cool project mi amigo. The only shady or bad part is that area is a no wake zone because we have some Manatees (like you saw) that lives there and people also live on those sail boats. This would have been something I dreamed about as a kid. Two 25's would be confusing for me with two tillers and two throttles. I thought you might flip it. One works well. Reminds me of the 8 ft. outboard my Dad built for me when I was a kid. It only had a 2 HP Elgin on it but he tried a 10 HP "green and silver" Mercury on it. It weighed too much and when he tried it out, he sunk the boat mostly due to the motor's weight. Fortunately he stuffed a bunch of styrofoam under the deck. Fun stuff. I like videos like this to lighten up my day.

lol, twin mercs. That is a little camper cruiser sailboat. Could've been cool for doing the texas 200 sailboat rally or something. The boards on the sides are leeboards and act to keep the boat from drifting when under sail. Still not sure about the paint job though
