aaaand now the game cant even work. for a game this anticipated it should have released at 8 am in each timezone instead of worldwide at 8am PST

I’d say so far it doesn’t and hasn’t sucked at launch. Sucked is not even in the same dictionary as the correct word to describe msfs2024 launch. It’s catastrophic. Diabolical. Absolutely fucking horrendous. I think they’re the words best to use. At least I’ll never forget what the login queue screen looks like. I’ve been staring at it for over 9 hours.

ive sat thru it twice for 2 hrs each just to fly for literally 3 minutes, and then the game crashes or freezes. the last and third time, I didn't even get off the fkn ground before it froze. why they released the game in this state, is beyond me 😭😭

PMDG have said that they believe their existing products WILL function correctly, but will be updated over time to take advantage of ADDITIONAL features available in 2024.

It absolutely does, it takes a really long,long time to load and the standard version is suppose to have 70 aircraft, I got 18 and no helicopters. I'm glad I have X-plane...

I'm getting MSFS 2024 and i will be keeping MSFS 2020 on my hard drive with all my aircraft add ons, I will then see how all my purchased aircraft pan out. I am not deleting anything that i have bought! Also i can switch between the 2 for a comparison check! 👍

I’m excited for 2024, but not as much as I was for 2020 (which came out when I had no flight sim software at the time). Happy to take a “wait and see” approach while the first bugs get smoothed over

Here's a thought... Whether or not the launch is perfect or not, coming out with possible horror stories beforehand seems a bit pointless and even harmful to the launch. We all know it won't be perfect. We all know that the new engine will require developers to adjust their legacy products. So, why carp on this? Would you prefer a product that is so mired in the old tech that everything gone before works perfectly as before? So, basically no advance? C'mon, people. If you are risk averse, then don't get it. Stay with FS2020. It is fine. It is comforting. It is "settled law". I'm looking forward to the new one, with all it's flaws, and with all it's quirks. It is not the simulator that will suck at launch. It is the naysayers and the doom criers that suck at launch.

"Harmful to the launch"? I think poorly communicated expectations are harmful to the launch. It's not our job as consumers to protect the product. It should speak for itself, and I think this video serves as a warning not to expect to go from 2020 to 2024 immediately.

I tried the alpha, it wasnt even close to being ready, just, constant bugs ! I havent preordered (besides its completely pointless with digital content) to just test to see just how buggy it is, an i hope im wrong, but i think a lot of people are gonna be angry this time next week

The alpha version was an older build compared to their more recent development progress at the time. Its primary purpose wasn’t user enjoyment but to test cloud streaming performance and gather automatic feedback from users systems. Microsoft was aware that the build would have bugs and made it clear at the start of the alpha that this version did not represent the final product.

@AMSpeedWagon. obviously, im aware it was an alpha, an progress will be made, my point is, with 5 weeks from launch there was A LOT to fix in a short time, an theyre probably still adding features theyve promised, meaning less time for bug fixing. As is standard practice these days, they'll just release it, and fix it later, at our exspense.. i do hope im wrong though

I'm not impressed by what I have seen so far. I won't be buying it for a while or maybe ever. Too many "game" mods for me although from their point of view, appealing more to "gamers" is the right financial direction. I also don't want to walk about, it's a flight simulator not a tramping game.

I personally am not jumping right into 2024 immediately. I primarily use the Fenix aircraft family, and that is a big unknown at the moment along with all the airport add ons that may or may not need to be updated. I do not have a top end system, but a decent one enough where 2020 works fine for me flying on Vatsim. I guess I will hold off for now on 2024 and let everyone else do the beta testing.😊

You make a lot of sense and a lack of new footage before launch is alarming, especially on Xbox. This is what I really think about this sim....Non existent damage model. No popped tires or bent landing gear, etc. No danger when landing, taking off since planes and ground vehicles go right through you. Why even bother looking around. Argument that Airplane manufacturers don't want scratches on their planes does not hold water. Forza, Gran Turismo all have visual damage models. F-18, F-14 and other military planes, you can blow them up in DCS World. Boeing and Lockheed Martin don't seem to have a problem with it. Microsoft focused on character creation and fashion to wear. Physics and damage models are significantly lacking in comparison to DCS World. This one is a glorified Google Earth Simulator with Sims elements thrown in for good measure.

Its a civil aviation sim, calm down. A damage system is the least important thing and frankly, nobody cares about the lack of it.

@ Damaging tire on landing and trying to control your aircraft as it veers to the side does not interest you ? How about putting out a forest fire and damaging a wing when hitting a tree and making an emergency landing? Do you enjoy getting a “you damaged your aircraft” and restarting instead? Laws of physics apply to civil aviation as well.

I think your channel and video is more doomed than MSFS2024 will be. IDK why youtube put me here, I know they are trying to help small creators lately, but this is just mostly roll taken from other places, not MSFS... Sure there probably will be issues, or maybe they learned. We will find out on release day. But this isnt much different then other developers these days, and im not trying to give them an excuse here about that. Your video and chit chat is just as worthy of something that hasn't happened yet. Complain then. No one cares and is glad they are at least trying to improve the flight simulator community and world.

The reason it will fail at launch (maybe not on the long run) isn't because of compatibility issues, whcih only speaks to hardcore enthusiasts. It will fail because, aside from videos of said enthusiasts, like this one, there's litterally NO MARKETING WHATSOEVER for it. Microsoft has been screwing up its marketing across all its "gaming" brands for the past 5 years. Flight Simulator will be fine, because there's simply nothing better. Not even close. But Microsoft is really shitting the bed

It’s very suck. This is a very expensive trash. I’m Xbox series S user and the flight doesn’t load. And the KLAX, the handcrafted airport is not updated especially the terminal 3. Do not buy it!!!
