@@VMKAROUND365 It's not that hard, Elon is a rich boi from South Africa that invested he's way into stardom. Mate, he does the work and came from bottom. The man is a HUGE geek, and put in alot of the blood, sweat and tears to get where he is currently. He has the ear of some highest in the industry and tries to learn alot. As I said, it's not that hard.

There is no bad advertisement. Richard Hammond with his infamous crash made one of the biggest advertisements of the decade... Still, Rimac and his employees are so impressive they don't need such things. They're doing most under the radar. For example, they are producing their cars really low badge nevertheless those cars are really safe. Generally, your typical low badge sports car wouldn't be crash tested or really safe. His company is doing cutting edge crash simulation/modeling. Which makes rocket science seem it is elementary school math and make heart surgeons cry. Trust me I'm an engineer.

I'm actually more interested in their Hyundai/Kia partnership, that's a serious statement of intent by the Koreans to go high performance or better still, boost the energy efficiency and range performance of EV batteries. God speed, Mate!

Me too. The Koreans have really upped their game. 15 years ago no one took them seriously in Europe or UK market. Now they are more prominent while liars and cheaters of Ford have completely abandoned cars (despite producing something as sensational as Mondeo) and Vauxhall/Fiat/Alfa/Renault/Citroen/Peugeot have consistently performed very poorly in customer satisfaction and they've been closing down one after another dealership. The Koreans have been opening more and more.

Patents dear friends patents. The power to get your name on the most revered brand comes from patents. VW needed them across all the brands within its portfolio - when Porsche bought into Rimac they only had the license to Porsche. Mate drove a hard bargain (no pun intended) and voila. Bugatti Rimac. "After Ferrari" 🤔, anyway, apparently Porsche sent a Panamera hybrid to Rimac just to test their competency, not only did they understand the system, they even had ideas to improve it. They are really knowledgeable. I think its pronounced "Rimats".

Rimac is Croatian. (as was Nikola Tesla), and his family name is not Rimak, it's Rimac. Last letter is 'c', which sounds 'ts'.

I think this was very easy way to increase value of both brands. On top Rimac technology (which makes parts for Valkyrie etc.) part is excluded from this, and by looking at his projects, it is a question of time (if not already) majority of income will come from that side. Not hypercar.

What you haven’t mentioned is how close he was to going bust. But through hard work and great skill developing motors and battery systems for many car makes. As such managed to get them to invest in his company and as they say the rest Is history. And best of all he is a really nice down to earth guy.

Your delivery is excellent. This was equally both exciting and informative. This is quite an important video to impart to thorough petrol heads that may be a bit stubborn to conform to where the future is going & curb their fears of electric vehicles being "boring".

In retrospect, yes it is the best thing that ever happened to the company. That said, at the time that it happened, Rimac was not looking so hot. Mate goes into some detail in the interview.

Rimac with Bugatti will certainly develop an "Ultra Car" in the near future. I'm really looking forward to that day. My only question is, will it have the "R" or the "EB" on the on the front and back. My feeling is that the W16 will retired.

Tbh, I doubt if the idea of battery-powered EV Bugatti would be well received. Bugatti is all about pushing the envelope of engineering, so they have to go beyond battery propulsion.

Tbh, there's no real need to get away from combustion engines, especially in limited series prodution cars. The pollution, which everyone talks about, comes mainly from large transportation vehicles and civilian commuters, plus continuous breakthroughs in fuels can help minimize the negative impact on environment. I think that Rimac's move makes sense.

Elon makes Lories faster than a Porsche? No, he just makes up stuff and never deliveres, or with huuuge delay. Just like Cybertruck, Tesla semis will never work due to the weight of the battery. But to Tesla cultists, he is a God (I am not saying the Tesla technology is bad, sentry mode, dog mode,, awesome things, I am saying, that he is straight out lying). But yes, Rimac sound really incredible and keeps their word!

I think what you mean is Trucks faster than a Porsche. This is a light duty truck which can carry up to 6 people and 3,500 lbs of cargo (about 1500 kilos). Yes, it will accelerate faster than most Porsches or Ferraris. They have made two or three pre production prototypes, and hope to start production in 4th Q 2022, which later than 4than Q 2021 which was expressed as the expected production start during the product launch in 2019. It was an optimistic hope rather than a lie. And Tesla's technological lead goes way beyond the trivia of do and sentry mode.

Although Mate Rimac is not fond of the title Elon of Europe, he does have a knack for pushing various products where others sit on their backside, the merge with Bugatti can only be a good one as like mentioned they've kinda gone stale, maybe hyper cars are not popular no more, and even less when Tesla brought out the Plaid showing what's possible for WAY less money.

His team is probably responsible for the BMS design for VW I3 and I4, plus Audi E Tron and Porchc taycon. Also Hyundai and probably thr battery pack design also.

Rimac is go be rich as Elon Musk, if not already. From previous interviews, he seems like an awesome down to earth guy. Most car brands will end up being like mobile phones these days: black square blocks of glass, metal and plastic. In fact, it has already started. The recent formation of Stellantis is a good example of 'same washing machine with different badge', just as Seat, Skoda, Audi and VW are same junk of rust buckets.

Knowing electricity is one thing but building an outstanding chassis that doesn't violently vibrate and shake at high velocity is another thing. That's why Rimac needed Bugatti 😁. Ain't just about power and speed, Bugatti also have that luxury which Rimac desperately need.

I have a fear of Volkswagen and other car makers just buying all of Rimacs technology and production then making it obsolete in the future. Because why would an old giant car company give a toss. I don't know why I'm getting bad vibes from all of this.

VW brought Rimac into VW family and gave it Buggati to controll. Its partnership. Reason is that Rimac develops new high end cars for a lot less money than VW was able to do. Developme of Veyron and Chiron was super expensive. Bugatti is now just making new cars but not developing any new technology.

But I want Bugatti to be be different to the rest, it’s the ultimate and I’ve been a good supporter since the first veyron come out. Even the 80’s Bugatti was unique I loved them.

They aren't that much profitable, Veyron were a money loss, Chiron not a lot of profit. They're made because of love for engineering, clearly not money.
