I've really embraced the 18v Makita kit, but the most used by far has to be the 4.5" angle grinder. Aside from that I have 2 Parkside (Lidl) 10.8v drills that get used all the time.
@wildefox14783 жыл бұрын
Both those crawlers fired right up, I have both a 1/2" air impact and a cordless impact, just fantastic tools!
@tyhogue83163 жыл бұрын
I love the videos. You are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful assistant. So rare to find a lady that will get her hands dirty. My favorite tool is probably my volt meter. 👍
@billupstateny91513 жыл бұрын
The deuce is a special treat, & George is a bonus, even though busy. Your new helper seems to take direction more favourably. As an assistant, she is a keeper. Tool: Milwaukee 1/4" cordless 1 8V, impact. Had Hitachi & Panasonic previously, also good kit, as you say. 30 years ago, choices were limited.

Dewalt chopsaw twenty years old and I use it nearly every day . Worth every penny .

That’s amazing how little effort it was to get the pair running. It’s like they just had them running yesterday. Great vid lord muck! I can’t wait for the crawler and what else is coming up next! My all of Milwaukee battery powered impacts. Those have been my saving grace since I got them. I am a mechanic myself.

30 years idle, starts with minimal effort. Got to love an old DB

Best line - "have you got special needs?" :) :). Best tool I own would be 1930's thread cutting lathe. Lovely to see both of these running, please keep videos like this coming.

1/2 inch drive DeWalt 20V impact driver. I use it for changing between sown and street tires on my Lincoln Mk Lt and people along the road with flats. It was very helpful for the family in the Winnebago that had a catastrophic blowout in front of me.

Cracking video and what a surprise how well they fired up with so few issues 👌👍

@Equiluxe13 жыл бұрын
18 volt Makita drill had it for about 15 years now and it still going strong. David Brown tractors always were a good starter, I used to have a 990 and even when just about everything else on it was worn out it still started on the first turn. Replaced it recent ly with a Kubota 5450 and that dose not start as quickly.

For home use, working on the cars and whatnot, my 18V 1/2" impact. Torque for days! At work, it would be my 12V 1/4" ratchet. Bought it to do one particular job, now it's often my go-to tool and definitely makes certain jobs quicker.

18V Hikoki Impact Wrench. Breaks an M8 bolt if you try. M8 is metric, dunno what is is in English. Hikoki is the brother of Hitachi, would recommend! Really like tour vids!

I surely would love to own that dozer as it seems to have most of its required bits sorted. Milwaukie anything as it is my brand go to. Of course that is state side so what it is anywhere else is a good question. I like to hear em all run again..... really enjoyed!!

My Belle Minimix 130 cement mixer. Got given it in 2012 as it didn't work, fixed it, still working 8 years later! Never thought I could grow to like a machine with crappy plastic gears but hey people can change 😉

Good vid Muck, like you I always liked the DB diesels, as for power tools?, ..........................at my time of life;- my partners Rabbit.
@donc813 жыл бұрын
Yes I'd definitely agree with you. Cordless grinder and 3/8th gun with the wobbly sockets. I've got dewalts but most of the guys in the shop have milwaukee. It's great hearing those crawlers fire up and move. And your lady sounds like a real sweety
@enginesandoutdoors32383 жыл бұрын
I got a Milwaukee 18v drill. It’s just a standard regular brushless power drill but I’ve used it for about everything. I’ve built a deck with it, I’ve used it to break bolts free with a socket adapter, I’ve drilled metal plates, I’ve even used it as a grinder. Great tool very tough.
@alanyoung76553 жыл бұрын
I kinda knew you would be onto a winner as soon as you said they were david brown engines...sweet as a nut those old girls .....👍👍..... as for power tools my pickhill welder will have paid for itself 100s of times over.... my 9 inch Bosch angle grinder has outlived almost everything else iv ever known.... and my latest purchase...a 4 n half inch cordless angle grinder has been a real gift from the gods...keep up the good work 🙂
@danmackintosh63253 жыл бұрын
Favourite power tool, has to be my little 50l compressor. Very underrated bit of kit, oft taken for granted but don't you just miss the fark out of it when you've only got a single barrel footpump haha not to mention powering the next best thing, cheap Aldi "Workzone" 1/2" impact. That takes the sweat and swearing out of so many jobs for me.
@joefarrow80543 жыл бұрын
VFN DB cropmaster in there too. Cracking vid - thanks.

I was just thinking to myself, i wonder where lord muck is, and like magic, here you are. Another awesome video. You always get me laughing with your clips. The power tool i cant do without is an 18 volt cordless ratchet. Seems im always removing long bolts and it saves me so much time with the push of a button. I cant go back to manual.
@laytonphillips66673 жыл бұрын
Great video, cant believe how easy they started, you must have magic hands , pity george didn't want to help!!!!
@tomcardale55963 жыл бұрын
Power tool? Torch. At a pinch I can do most things by hand. An impact gun is nice but you can get by with a breaker bar and a ratchet for instance. It's tricky to make light by hand!

3/4 Milwaukee impact gun , absolute animal 👍🏼

Nice one Mucka only seeing this now 👍🏻👍🏻😃 and Dewalt Cordless grinder is best thing I’ve bought but only has 4ah batteries so doesnt last long
@pattonm47533 жыл бұрын
would have never known that David Brown made crawlers nor tractors for Oliver. I only have one power tool believe it or not a 50+ year old drill so I guess that would be my favorite power tool
@jackhume45323 жыл бұрын
That’s another great 👍 video your lordship and I always look 👀 forward to seeing them, those classic crawlers sill have plenty of life left in them and it would be truly great 👍 to see them working some day in the future. You always ask really great 👍 questions and my answer for you is not really a tool but a decent sized workshop, so that I can do basic maintenance on my bicycles (yes I know nothing with an engine ) or get things for other projects started and finished, plus I could really use a battery powered impact driver that would be a very useful piece of kit fo anyone’s tool kit. Have a great 👍 night and I will look forward to seeing your next video !!!!!!!!.

Mister Lobb fancy seeing your good self here lol, You and your mate with the TD 206 a couple of years back have some answering to do haha, currently balls deep in a multiplexed (formerly 1.1 petrol) 206 with an ex-Xantia 1.9TD we built a few months back. It's been great fun, but the Mot runs out end of the month so got some soul searching to do in order to sort the test out, not least the electronics having a major hissy fit not seeing most of the petrol control/sensor gear haha! Hoping it'll be able to be put though on HDi specs and if I wind the screws back out enough might just squeak through emissions for one of them... Hope you're doing good & playing with dervs still, not seen much from you lately.
@oliverbrook18783 жыл бұрын
Well done mucker great video could not live with out my battery makita impact driver its brilliant.
@OliverLee3903 жыл бұрын
For me, it would be either the Makita 18V angle grinder or the 18V 1/2" impact gun, well done with the crawlers! My Aunt has two petrol/tvo T20s that I am itching to try and start, one hasn't moved since 1969, thankfully it was put up on blocks by my late Great Uncle, original tyres and all!

As others, 18V Milwaukee angle grinder, 1/2" impact gun and torch (was bought as a kit) also from the same shark saw (good for cutting a side off a grain tank on a combine when we're shrinking them to fit into a container for export).

Ryobi one 18 volt pistol drill. Never have used electric powered pistol drill since. It has everything you can wish for and that includes no cable.

Great to see the old stuff come to life..hard to believe they will run on that 30 year old fuel...18v 1/2" makita impact is my go to tool. If the nut won't come off with that I can always pound out the bolt after it twists off...
@LordMuck3 жыл бұрын
I think there's less chance of any issue with 30 year old fuel than the modern shit we now use.

Muck, I have got a Makita cordless torch like yours, it would be hard to go without it. I managed to glue the battery on with the stuff I was lining an old fuel tank with, that should have been the end of it but it wasn’t. That battery catch is not as good as it was though. My ALDI cordless 1/2” rattle gun is pretty handy, more power than the air ones gracing my tool box. Jeff

Been looking forward to this since the last one 👍

Hay mucky brilliant as usual just love the way you make these videos My essential power tool is battery grease gun other than a hammer it's as technical as I get lol
