Hey pal you should change the petrol like most stuff it has a shelf life according to Google it says.. The storage life of petrol is one year when stored under shelter in a sealed container. Once a seal is broken the fuel has a storage life of six months at 20°C or three months at 30°C. I never knew that I thought petrol was good to go forever.. Maybe why there wasn't a good spark. Don’t listen to google mate Petrol is fine for ages. The spark was good on this one I didn’t need to clean the points or anything. Petrol will go a bit smelly or dark over time but it’ll still work fine :)

Best thing to do with old petrol is mix it with fresh petrol and if you're really anal about it use it in a lawn mower etc.@@RSPYT

Petrol comes from crude-oil that has sat in the ground for decades. Petrol will no go bad in few years when its sat underground for decades lol.

Yeah,the first thing you should have done is the petrol,at least.For the sake of your own safety Ben.Take it to a shop,or find someone who knows what they are doing!.
