We dragged this Scotia Blue Volvo 242 from the woods about 2 months ago. a friend and long time Volvo nut is interested in trading for another car but ALSO is throwing a crawfish boil just for fun!
Why not resurrect this 242 and drive it to him!!!

That car is absolutely worth saving! This bertone with the 4 cylinder is a very solid car if you can get it running and driving again! I always wanted one of these cars myself! My grandfather had a 1988 Volvo 240 sedan in white with the blue cloth interior. His was an automatic and he bought it new back in 1988. In the 10 years he owned it he drove 342k with that car. It was a great car!

@@DeanofMachines the blue coupe in this video that you resurrected. Any 200 or 700 series Volvo coupe that was made is a Bertone car and those were manufactured in Italy. They also made them with a 6 cylinder engine which was also used in the DeLoreans and a Diesel engine as well. I’m told that the 6 cylinder and the diesel engines were not that great at least not here in the states. But the four-cylinder is always a buy.

@@mds2465 I don’t think that is correct. In the US we did get a Bertone 242c which was a weird optioned 2 door that was made by Bertone. Then we also had the normal 242s that were not Italian made.

Bravo on making it the whole way there after sitting in the woods for who knows how long!! The only thing I would have done different is to T in the return line before the click clack inlet.
@DeanofMachines
@DeanofMachines 17 күн бұрын
I thought about that for a bit. I decided it would be better to have the constant suction from the boat tank down to the inline pump.
@kilgree
@kilgree 17 күн бұрын
Putting it between the pumps has the potential to create an over pressure loop and the only way to remedy it is go full throttle and kill the clicker. If you put it before the clicker, it will only pull what it needs from both sources. We did this on an excavator and it started pushing fuel out of the factory transfer pump because the injection pump couldn’t eat the fuel fast enough unless you were at working the engine hard. Also, I am SO jealous you got to eat crawfish! I haven’t had any since I moved from south east texas about 20 years ago.

Hi Dean, I am very sorry, I am Dutch, and I can only be direct and honest. And that is sometimes experienced as rude. But I really just want to help... But who sold you those glasses? Those glasses are way too high on your nose. The top edge should be flush with your eyebrows. You may be able to adjust it yourself, but this really doesn't look right. It gives you a sort of permanent look of surprise. Sorry, And enjoyed the video! ;) Mark from the Netherlands

Hi Mark! My glasses were from a cheap store here in the USA. My look of constant surprise is probably due to always bringing home Volvos and the o’lady not leaving me yet!! Tree hanks for watching!
