My new years resolution this year was not to buy anything that was not a necessity. The first month was hard but it got easier and easier and now I am loving it. I have decided that I do not need more stuff in my life and I have been saving the money for an upcoming family vacation. Vacation is a necessity and I am not ashamed. HAHA

We go on mini fishing vacays all the time now. We have a rule about any new item coming in the home. Can we borrow it first to try it out? Will it be replacing other item(s) that will subsequently leave immediately? We have a hard rule about no duplicates Can we get it used? Now, paying for the little 3 day getaways is no problem and the house stays visually peaceful and clean with ease

No, this is perfect. Anything over 30 minutes is too damn long, and people start skipping to get to the end or leave the video to watch something else that's shorter. Even vlogs that are over 30mins don't do well. People would rather doom scroll than sit and watch or listen to a long a** podcast of people talking.

As a guest, I usually end up cleaning subconsciously if the party feels like it is dying down, coming to an end, or most people have left. I often get told/gently scolded for cleaning as a guest. If I am at someone's house I will try to do a full blown dish wash by hand to make my utensils seem like I was never there.

Hotel is where you park your car in a parking lot and walk into the hotel to get to your room. A motel (motor hotel) allows you to park your car right at your room's door. A sidewalk is between the parking lot and the rooms. You enter your room from the sidewalk. It is convenient to get your luggage from the car to your room.

One thing you have to watch out for on Autoship is that they sometimes raise the price (sometimes significantly!) on subsequent purchases! We ordered something for $12 and signed up for autoship. The next shipment had a 15% discount, but the price went up to $18, so the next shipment cost $15.30!

I was shocked when a gallon of ice cream was no longer a gallon, but is cost the same. Now everyone pays big bucks for a pint or less. I hate bogo sales! They could just give you 25% off instead of making you buy 2. In my area you have to buy 2 to get the discount. I don't take the auto ship deals. I don't want to manage if and when I'm getting the next order, or getting another one right away. Way too many multiple purchases of something I didn't really want anyway. There are so many ways to get you to buy, I've begun ignoring what 'they' tell me is a good deal. I simply buy what I need and stay away from excess purchasing.

When the price changes for SWA it’s because those tickets that were at that price bucket sold out while you were getting the points 🫤 unfortunate but there are only a certain number of tickets at a certain price point. A tip though, there still might be one seat at the lower price so you can do two separate reservations and claim the one last seat at the cheaper price point and do the other seat at the higher price point. Hope that makes sense!

I have 5 kids and when other people come to play, the ones that leave me with a clean playspace after all the kids have demolished it are the ones I want to invite back. I don’t want to be exhausted after a dozen kids were here and then see what looks like a primary colored tornado came through. (I, of course, make my kids pick up right along with them.)

when it comes to the practice of creating fake "anchor prices" to make the fake "sales price" look like a great deal, i don't know why this is not considered false advertising. I think that consumers should be able to file complaints with the FTC for these cases, and if the vendor cannot show that they sold at least one unit of the product for the supposed "before" price, then they should be fined. This applies to liquidation sales too!

I buy yoplait yogurt every week. I will look what the rebate is and get the amount it has. If it's buy 10 I will buy ten and skip it the next week. Colostrum powder is actually a thing. The brand she's talking about is Armra.
When grocery stores run BOGO offers, the manufacturer is usually helping to cover the cost (either partially or all of the cost) of the item that is free. Manufacturers have contracts with the grocery chains and there are terms written into the contract that require the manufacturer to payout money in the form of marketing funds. These marketing funds are used to promote their products through weekly sales, BOGO deals, etc. The grocery retailer applies these monies to the cost of running the sale/promotion.
@berbabrinkley22062 ай бұрын
Another good one the way they get you is going out of business sales and everything is half off. Nope! They have raised the price before they put that 50% off sticker on.

You need to correct your pronunciation of the nut. There is NEVER an “L”pronounced. As in salmon, there is no “L” pronounced. It is either “ah-mond” or short a as in cat, “a-mond. It’s not California bougie, it’s correct. Check the dictionary. Love you guys!

Hold on, hold on! George is trying to differentiate CFA Rewards vs credit card rewards. BOTH incentivize you to spend, but as long as you're only spending what you've budgeted/what you would've spent already, then you're getting something for free. There is zero difference. You can preach your outdated study about people spending more on plastic, but a debit card is plastic too ;)
