Will This Save Bungie?

It is astounding how much I do not care about an Extraction Shooter from Bungie, its such a weird shift to a niche genre that already has a premier game in it.

Extraction shooters being “niche” right now is the point. Bungie wants to break the market open with a AAA casualfied experience. That does not exist in the market currently. Can’t they do it? I dunno lol

I just got back into Destiny 2 and it’s been actually really nice to not feel as rushed to grind through the season. The longer seasons and bigger gaps between expansions gives people like me a chance to catch up and play casually.

The next thing is not an expansion dude, I’ve said this so many times, the next Bungie project with D2 is the next game, we’ve been playing the same game for 10 years not that much of an engine upgrade from D1 to D2, upgrading the engine has to be on their goals, a bunch of games upgraded you mean to tell me you expect Bungie to give us more expansions after the story they claimed was gonna last 10 years is finished? Yeah if you’re one of those you’re big dumb, other than that D2 has nothing to offer currently.

Why would Bungie need to be saved? They should be allowed to fail if they put out a bad product that nobody wants from them. There's this weird nostalgia that people have for Bungie, Blizzard, Bioware. These studios are not run by and do not employ the same people that made all these cool and interesting games 20+ years ago. People need to take off their rose-tinted goggles and realize that.

omg yes exactly this. Why marathon too? it’s an IP from before bungie was a known studio, and i’d bet nobody who worked on the original marathon is still at bungie
