Nobody knows the reality of the Balakot Air Strike. While the Indian Air Force is saying that our work is to attack the target, not to know how much damage is done, there is a lot of speculation from the media. The ruling party in India, on the other hand, is claiming that 200 to 300 terrorists have been killed. The Government of Pakistan has prevented any media organisation from visiting the site of the strike, and has said that the damage is being overplayed by the Indian side. What really happened remains unknown. In this interview, Prabir Purkayastha and D Raghunandan discuss the ramifications of the satellite images of the strike that have cropped up from various sources, and the fog of war that still looms large over India and Pakistan.

Pakistan took a long time to show journalists the damaged building and it closed its airspace for many days..which shows pakistan is not telling the full truth about casualties....mistake were also done from india's side like sending mig-21 bison which is such an old and outdated jet, shooting down of its own helicopter and making a big but very suspicious claim of shooting down f-16....because even su-30 faced troubles launching its bvr missiles so how can mig-21 launch such a good bvr missile that it shot down f-16 ? also what were indian s-300 and other air defense systems doing when pakistani jets crossed the loc..why did the s-300 not shoot down those jets ? many many such questions are unanswered

Good analysis but the point is that Indian jets dropped bombs barely entering the Pakistani airspace, if you know the physics at the speed the aircraft are flying the bombs can glide a distance of kilo meters and thats what happened. With that theory you can just throw a stone from LOC into Pakistan and call it an attack.

I respect the two senior analysts analyzing the attack of India and Pakistan's response to it. The only thing that surprised me is that they totally missed the two jet fighters that were shot down in Pakistan's teritory by the PAF and one of their pilots was arrested and then released afterwards. It was something that must've caused worry among the IAF concerning the skill level of their IAF pilots. Anyways, hopefully India and Pakistan don't get into a situation where there is a full stretch war. Damage will be unimaginable.
