@@SunnyvaleTrailerParkSupervisor littermate syndrome... u shouldn't get 2 dogs from the same litter. I had 2 mini schnauzers same breeder NOT same litter. The breeder even said don't get 2 dogs from the same litter. KC was my first mini schnauzer and first dog. Sassy was 3 months 1 day younger than KC 1/2 bro and sister.. same dad different moms. KC was very outgoing and very well behaved. Sassy was the same except she would randomly test whoever was on the other end of the leash. Sassy knew we were the bosses.. but she would see if she could get away with stuff..lol

Dude you are amazing, we’ve had our puppy about a week and he’s a nightmare, love him… but he’s a terror, watched one video and implemented a couple of techniques and he’s already stopping crying as much, he cries as soon as we leave the room, he cries to be held, he will only sleep in someone’s arms, he cries and bites and craps all over the house, gonna make you my puppy guru ❤

I'm so happy I found your channel!!! I've worked with lots of adult dogs before, but I just adopted a dog I was told was 3yrs old who can't be more than 10 months... This beautifully outlined the difference between baby training, teen training, and grown dog training. Wonderful info! And it's great that you emphasize loving leadership - I think so many people are afraid of being mean dictators, so it's wonderful that you stress that all this training is founded in love, so the dog can feel safe and supported. You're a very clear teacher, and I'm definitely binging all your other videos immediately. Thank you for all the work you do, for dogs and humans alike❤

Have just fostered two (large) 3 month old puppies (hunting/working dog mix bred for hunting feral pigs). I'm applying your strategies and am achieving very encouraging results. Have started with the biting (essential! lol), sit and leading. We have a daily routine, with predictable meal, play and training times. They have unusual temperaments in that they sit respectfully, silently, shoulder-to-shoulder, while I prepare their food. And if there is a loud noise, they stand together silently in the doorway looking out, or up in the case of a helicopter. So intelligent. I do so hope they get responsible owners... PS I do have assistance. My cattle dog is very good with them, but tolerates no nonsense.

Gday from Australia. I have just taken on a beautiful rescue dog who’s 2.5 years old. He’s a Koolie cross Cattle and has a beautiful nature. He responds well and is quite well behaved. Crate trained from a pup so that isn’t an issue. Loves going for walks etc but he can’t decide which side of me to stay on so he constantly changes sides! Just from watching this video, I’m sure we’ll get it sorted very soon.

Good morning. Just a bit of background. My daughter when she was really young wanted a dog but we had two elderly cats and lived in a small mid terrace house. We were both working full time so felt it would not be in the dog's or the family's interests so instead decided to sponsor a guide dog. Fast forward our situation has changed we now live in a semi rural semi detached and our cats have passed on. I am now a foster carer for children so at home most days except for the odd meeting and the school run. We are now thinking about getting a dog. We are thinking about getting a retired guide dog or one that has not completed the guide dog training. The breeds being considered are a lab/retriever or German shepherd. Would do you think? Pros/cons? I don't want to make a mistake and disrupt a dog's life

I have one question, I would really appreciate any input. My brother and his wife got a puppy a year ago. however they have not trained her at all. basically let her do anything she wants, and now at 1 year old, she jumps on everyone, and most of all she goes crazy with my brother's wife who raised her mostly. she goes insane around her, bites her donest listen to her, and she is reluctant to be very strict with her. I have started to train her, and she is slowly relearning everything, but still she goes bunkers around my brothers wife. what can we do? thanks

I just adopted a 4 month old great Pyrenees puppy 3,weeks ago. She was isolated in a barn by herself and is terrified of everything and every noise. She will not go for a walk or go far from my front door. I sit outside with her to get used to different noises but when it comes to trying to walk her away from the noise she tries to run back to my door . I do stress positive behavior and try to calm her. I'm not sure how to get her to move past her fears and anxiety. HELP please.

New sub here and my dream is to save all dogs from the e list here in Az. especially Phoenix. I cry almost daily because I can't seem to not focus on the fact that in Phoenix, Arizona which is Maricopa county, the Humane Society and the county pound are each euthanizing over 20 sometimes 30 loving healthy dogs a DAY despite the fact that they both opened brand new, upgraded, state of the art facilities this year. They get killed just for existing because some people are not doing any homework before they get a dog, not neutering, and not spending any time working with or learning how to work with their dog. Disposable entertainment is how they are treated and it horrifies me that we still do this. I am so sick of crying about it but I don't know where to start aside from raising awareness by sharing posts and videos on all social media. Educating the people is so important but how do we get their attention? How do we change laws? You are saving lives and that's what I need to do too.

This video is hardly informative at all. It's teaser ad for one of his courses. There's a little info in it about the course, and just enough on actual training to make you want to spend money on them. That'd be fine if the video was being presented as an teaser for the larger course. By starting out with a deceptive introduction, they've made it impossible for me to trust that I'll get my money's worth out of the course, which is a shame given the philosophy sounds good. Hard pass.
