I have a TRS-80, and am trying to figure out how I should get ahold of him to see if he is interested in taking it off my hands for relatively cheap. Can't afford to give it up for free especially when shipping something like that is probably not going to be cheap in itself. Pulled it out of a neighbors attic, and it starts right up but I was never able to find it's boot disks or anything like that to really explore it deeper myself... but if others have already been sending William here other TRS-80 stuff it might be a perfect match lol. Gonna go look for contact email so I can send him a pic and see, but if any of yall know a better way to get this to his attention lemme know.

A few things about thermite: If the powder is damp the reaction can be impeded. It can even pop or explode from steam. It looks to me like that might have been happening here. You can add iron pellets like in the video, but even better is to use steel wool. Add it to the bottom of the flower pot and it will stop up the hole and provide extra molten iron. It won't block the hole like the cardboard did.
