Live in Colorado. I feel one of the biggest challenges for mountains is just being in the right place at the right time. Waiting for golden hour and getting stuck hiking out in the dark is sometimes not fun or at all recommended. Great tips!

The biggest challenge of landscape photography in general 😅 just gotta be out there as much as possible and align yourself with the right moments. Thanks for viewing 🙏🏻

@@WilliamPatinoPhotography do you have Mountain Lions and Bears in New Zealand? I know you talked about snakes. Wildlife at night or low light can be a risk Colorado is risky hiking with those animals even in daylight. A few runners had encounters. I’m a wildlife photographer who has lived where Mountain Lions roamed and photographed a lot of bears throughout the US. I love your work and videos. It is special where you live as well.

I've always loved mountains. Unfortunately, there are none where I live so I have to save up my enthusiasm for when I get to travel to where there are mountains.

Man, do I feel your pain. I live in very flat, very dull Louisiana. Our tallest "hills" are literally lower than the treetops. Right now I'm in Arkansas, where I hoped to get some autumn / hilly photos, but of course the weather went from total flat overcast and rain to severely clear skies and harsh light within an hour or two. 🙂

Great insight and many of these same tips can be used inversely for big canyons as creating depth can be a challenge with that subject as well. Living near the Grand Canyon, I love getting there before sunrise and allowing the light to creep onto the spires, buttes and temples (as they call them) providing that visual depth. Great tips for both landscape situations. Love your work, sir.

Excellent video! I just moved to Colorado, and it seems that every day, the mountains change. I can drive 5 minutes down the road, and they look completely different. I feel extremely fortunate that I get to live in a place where I have access to so much incredible scenery. I'm looking forward to photographing the Rockies in every situation they present. So far, my favorite photographs I've made are with a telephoto lens. Thanks for posting this video!

Klasse Landschaften in Colorado, leider für mich im Leben absolut nie zu erreichen. Märchenhafte Stimmungen. Stimmung durch Tiefe schaffen, Schatten und Licht gut aufteilen.
