Very heavy 2.8 box. But issue was manoeuvre to get over and between subframe

Little question! Ever done spring lock on macperson (peugeots in particular 208) with something prior to lifting? I mean for example when the suspension is down on the ground strap the coils from top to shock seat for them at the bottom so when you lift the car it stays same. I may overthink that but it should let the knuckles stay at same position i am just curious if it will not pop the coils of the shocks if they are good enough to push it all down as well as gravity with that. Asking about it because then you could easily undo pinch bolts and take wishbones easily but it is not main concern, main is that at this height of the knuckle the driveshaft will not pop out as it does when the knuckles are hands further down. Any other way if not that to avoid it? Am ashamed to change gearbox oil otherwise when working on something like just one lower arm: cheers!!!

Hi kev, on the golf gti you put a solid flywheel on and the old one was dmf , did the customer notice any difference.👍

That was an upgraded flywheel. It cost a bit more than usual ones. It doesn’t have springs and bearings but rather blades. It’s called VBlade DMF. Ant it won’t fail like the spring and bearing ones.

At 20.49 there's fluid on the flywheel coming from the crankshaft main seal. Does that seal get replaced?

Hi Kevin. Just a question regarding the astra clutch you fitted. Was it a self adjusting clutch? If it was did you use a special tool to install it? Looking at doing my own but it says you need a special tool to install the SAC. Cheers 👍🏼

So how did you remove the stubborn drive shaft that got stuck on the gearbox last week on the Vauxhall, or did you send it to a gearbox specialist for removal? If you did the repair by yourself, what actually went wrong and how did you get it off the final drive?

Because no company does the bearing kit for them anymore. A replacement box was fitted .. it was the bearings that had collapsed
