Juicing is a great step to attaining a healthful and energetic lifestyle. In this video, Joe Cross from Reboot Your Life shows us a healthy mean green juice made using the Breville Dual-Disc Juice Extractor.
An easy-to-operate juicing machine makes liquefying raw vegetables and fruits easier. This Breville juice extractor is a great kitchen appliance with an extremely powerful motor with five speeds that ensures maximum yield. Joe starts juicing by putting in celery, cucumber, lemon, green apples, kale, ginger and spinach inside the juicing machine. He allows the mixture to blend completely in the machine and stirs the wonderful juice that he likes to call "The Mean Green Juice". Pour the green juice into a glass and drink up!
The Breville juice extractor features a separate container that collects the fiber from the vegetables and fruits used for juicing. You can use this residual fiber collected by your juicing machine as compost for your garden.
Use the Breville juice extractor to experiment with more nutritious and revitalizing recipes. This user-friendly juicing machine is a perfect way of detoxifying your body with fresh, healthy juices. So get juicing!

I have found that putting in Kale first, and then following it with a high-water content vegetable (such as cucumber) helps to get more juice out of the kale.

I juiced for 10 days straight. After day 1, I was starting. Day 2, I was doing better. Day 3, I had so much energy I remember jumping on a treadmill and running a mile in my best time ever!!! The hardest part is staying on course, only because society makes it tough. You have to want it. That's the thing!!!

Fantastic video - After being diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer I quickly moved on to a vegetable and fruit based diet and I began to rebuild the ingredients in my food intake with two objectives: 1) limit tumour growth and 2) boost my immune system. A daily lemon was one part of that.

I started this juice diet yesterday. I weighed in at 210 pounds at 7 a.m... I Juiced with mean green and added some carrot juice with plenty of water and aloe vera juice all day long. You would not believe what happened. after urinating all day long to the point where I had to stay home I weighed in at 202 pounds at 11 p.m. on the same day. That is absolutely right I lost 7 pounds of water bloat and one day. This is an absolute miracle and anyone who wants to argue anything else is full of it. I am on day two now and I'm pumped and ready to go. I cannot imagine what I'm going to look like in 30 days. This is a miracle diet and I feel wonderful on day two. Anyone who was thinking about trying this I would say go for it you have nothing to lose but excess ugly weight!

We had a masticating juicer and a Aicook centrifugal juicer like this one kzbin.infoUgkxXHNfxr6U9XrHQpsdjUrKNVP231BfS9q9 Both of them made about the same amount of juice.The Aikcook one died in 3 weeks haha. China brand. LolSo we bought this one since at least we knew the brand name and it was about the same price.Imagine our surprise when we make two 16 oz cups of celery juice and have leftover celery. We juiced it and made almost another cup! Same thing happened with our cucumber juice. So it's about 20 - 30 % more juice than our other two juicers including the masticating cold press one!The motor is so much stronger on this one than the Aikcook. It sucks in the vegetables and spits them out like it's angry.I've only had it a few days so don't know how long it will last but all the plastics and interior is much stronger and better made than the other two we had. If it breaks, I can buy a new one with the savings in vegetable bill. Haha.This literally is going to save me about 60- 80 bucks a month because of the juice output. No one likes to waste food.Update! It broke in 8 days. Motor started freaking out. I'm going to get another of them and try my luck because I really really want this one to be the one.

Every morning I have a juice made of: lime, apples, ginger, celery, carrots and a beet. I have been making it for my wife for about 5 days now. She has suffered from inflammation in her joints for several years. Yesterday she told me with tears in her eyes that the inflammation is gone and she can walk up and down the stairs with no pain. All it took was 5 days! I make another one in the evening using lemon, kale, ginger, frozen blue berries, frozen pineapple, honey, apples and water. For this one I blend it in a Vitamix and run it through a strainer.

You can put a plastic food bag in the part that catches the pulp to save cleaning it. Of course, that's extra plastic being used though which isn't exactly good for the environment. Actually, a muslin bag would work. I might get one now I've suggested it, lol.

When you've finished juicing you can put a jug of water down the shute with motor going (with the pulp bin attached)...and it will do quite a good job of cleaning the sieve. You can do it if you are doing different flavour juices in one session. Gleaned that info off a juice bar.

I've been following this recipe for a long time now, and it's great. I like to add a couple large carrots to mine which gives it a little more sweetness and adds that nice carrot flavor. Drink lots of water throughout the day, and you'll lose weight really fast. FYI, the first day or two you might experience some loose bowl(your system is cleaning its self out), but after that things should go back to normal as long as you're also eating some solid food. Cheers. 👍

I bought the Omega Vert VRT350 for my daughter because it takes up less space & is the preferred low speed juicer. But my Breville is perfect for me cuz I wouldn't juice if I had to take the time to cut up everything. Plus it has slow-fast speed and can be cleaned in the top rack of the dishwasher. Thanks for the recipe - I'll have to try a little ginger for a change.

We need fiber in our diet, but juicing allows us to bypass the digestive system. The juice is absorbed in the stomach, and engages the intestines very little (if at all). This can be useful for a lot of people, because it allows the maximum nutrients to get into the system in a fast way. As such, juicing is a powerful too that many use for healing and weight-loss.

as someone with years of IBS I have never been able to eat many raw vegetables without consequences and smoothies for me are pretty indigestible with all the fibres.juices keep the soluble fiber that is prebiotic and feeds the good bacteria, and leave out the insoluble fiber.

Start her juicing a year ago. Felt so good I adopted a whole food plant based lifestyle. It just slowly happened. To date I've lost 75lbs and feel great. Off both my blood pressure meds too! Unfortunately I still have to take Prilosec for my acid reflux. Which I'm very surprised about. It's not as bad as it was a year ago. But still bad enough I have to keep taking it. I'm hoping my body will continue to heal so i can live heartburn free. I eat very clean. Hardly any oil. I'd say 80% raw plants and 20% cooked

Quiet, easy to clean. 80 rpm's so it doesn't heat up the pulp in any way. Built like a Leopard 2A6 Battletank. And makes the highest juice per pulp ratio I have ever seen. And the juice that comes out of it seems to be alot richer in color. Plus a 15 year guarentee. Can't beat it. It's pricey but worth every stinkin atom it's composed of straight up!!!

A lot of people who have been juicing for a while really do think its sweet. But because beginners are used to foods being so loaded with sugar it seems like grass water to us. Just add more fruits to your juices and i think you'll like them better. One of my fav. sweet juice recipes is: Carrot, Cucumber, Lemon, and Strawberry or Raspberry.

Look at Norman Walker at 40 years old he was quite sick. So he researched juicing which goes back to the dead sea scrolls. Doctor Walker lived to be 99, so maybe it was luck or maybe juicing works.

Grab an Omega 8006J single gear masticating juicer and you won't have to use nearly as many fruits and veggies to get that much juice. Runs at a much lower RPM so as to extract the most juice possible. Pulp is bone dry after completion.

Wow I just got my refurbished breville to cut cost and it is wonderful.The Breville so much quieter/easier to clean &use than my juiceman jr juicer!So I dusted off my juice man jr juicer it was a blessing to have it to start off my journey in again juicing to try the Mean green Juice it was delicious! I tried first smoothie green mean but knew in my heart/mind for quick weight loss 72 lbs I would benefit more with the Breville to juice/thanks to God Breville arrived it more than met my hopes

@ILuv2bUmmi I've done the SAME thing. I was SO inspired by the film I did a short reboot and transitioned to raw vegan. I feel SO much better already! Had dehydrated marinated mushrooms and cashew alfredo sauce over a bed of fresh spinach for dinner last night. DELICIOUS!

I've found that when you juice leafy greens like spinach or kale, they tend to shoot back a lot of pulp when you toss them into a juicer and unfortunately return little juice!!! If you pack these things real tight into the juicer, it will take longer for the juicer to grind away at them but you will get way more juice in the end!! Also if you are trying to avoid fruit, carrots are a good substitute because the juice is a tad sweet. Although that would not make it a true green juice! :)

the flavor is great if you are big celery fan.... If not go easy on the celery. The apple gives it a sweet flavor, the lemon balances it all out... it doesn't look that great but it has a good flavor!!

@Diamonddusted68 The fiber in plants tends to be insoluble, so all it does is adds bulk to our feces and makes their passage easier. If you are drinking plenty of liquids, especially during something like a reboot, there isn't any issue of passing what you don't digest easily. The fiber doesn't get digested by our bodies, just passed through. The enzymes are what the body needs to get amino acids and repair daily damage.

I love this juice!!! The only thing is the heat from a centrifuge juicer kills the nutrients. Use a masticulating or screw type. It will yield more juice and keep all the nutrients!! An Omega 8004 is a great one
@whaterfoo
@whaterfoo 5 жыл бұрын
Get both. Centifcal is much faster and the heat killing nutrients is a joke. There is no heat. Centrifical is faster to make a juice with and to clean. But when you have time use the slow juicer to get about 10% more juice that doesnt seperate as fast as centri does. I have both, i use both, i lost 36lbs in 36 days nothing but juice the first 20days. After 20 days all juice and 1 vega protien shake a day till day 36.

@whaterfoo
@whaterfoo 5 жыл бұрын
@@CesarSandoval024 nutribullet is not a juicer. It is a blender. It will make great smoothies, but if you do a juice fast a nutribullet does not remove fiber pulp

You know what I do? Whenever I juice. Also I re-juice the pulp. And most times I repeat the process cause it always seems like when I juice, I do it way too fast so a lot of the juice ends up in the pulp rather than in the cup. Sometimes nothing comes out out it but a lot of times I get a good ¼ or ½ cup of juice from the pulp.

I prefer the Omega 8004 - its a single gear and presses the juice out leaving a very dry pulp. It will keep a couple of days so i am juicing every other day or two. i juice every day whether I am fasting or not.

Well yesterday I watched fat, sick and nearly dead. I don't really need to loose a lot of weight, but I would really like to give reboot a try for my overall health. I have lots of issues with feeling sluggish and just no energy. My brain just doesn't work as well anymore. I cannot concentrate at all. I just don't know how to get started. How much juice should one have in a day? I really could use a little help :)

I've done a few reboots, but I really can't get past day 7 the way Joe did. At day 7, I literally get horrible pains in my legs for some reason. I think it's because I'm getting extremely high doses of vitamins since I tend to be heavy on the kale and leafy greens. I figured out what works for me. Every 3 months or so, I will do a reboot this way; I will drink only juice for 3 days, eat breakfast and dinner but skip lunch and have juice instead for another 3 days, and then do only juice again for another 3 days. That works for me. In total, I get a 9-day, modified reboot. During the days I'm eating meals, I include eggs, lean chicken, fish and very little starch. No soda or alcohol, either. I drink water with those meals.

Helpful hint... line the container that catches the fiber with a plastic bag you get from the grocery store when you buy the veggies...put it in there and drape over the outside edge...when done juicing, clean-up is a snap, lift it out and throw it away!

It could work. You'd have to blend everything together and then run it through a strainer like a cheese cloth to remove the pulp and only have the juice left. That is what a juicer does, it gives you the juice (nothing more). I'm also not sure if a Vitamix can release the juice from certain things like kale or spinach. I use the nutribullet at home some days and chops everything finely like a blender but it isn't juice.

@mikertones My uncle just bought me the Breville and it works great. The big chunk that you are hearing fly back is the outside of the 1/2 of a lemon that he put in the juicer. It makes sense for that to fly back into the pulp bin.
