On October 28th, Myself & @LanesTrains had a fun adventure all around my area, the Western New York Region. Lane had flown up here, to chase the 1225 with myself. After that, on the 28th he wanted to see more of the area. While there was 2 other videos filmed that day, I am still needing more footage before making said videos. That being said, one of our last stops that day, was in one of the Biggest Suburbs of Buffalo, the Village of Williamsville, New York.
My Grandfather grew up, down the road from here. I worked around the corner from here, from 2016-2021. Here along with the Trail, is one of the few remnants of the Lehigh Valley Railroad Mainline through Williamsville. I had no idea until recently that the Lehigh Valley Ran through this area. The Depot, has been maintained by the Western New York Railroad Historical Society for many years. In 2021, they received there latest Locomotive, Lehigh Valley 252. The #252 was build by EMD as an SW-8 switcher. This engine would operate for both the Lehigh Valley & Conrail. It was in Conrail paint, upon arriving at the Museum. The engine looks sharp, next to the depot. There is also a few boxcar, and caboose at the museum. While it was not open the day, we went we did get some pictures. Hope you all enjoy this video!
If all goes well, this weekend we should be filming our first Christmas Train of the season, Southern #154 on it's last runs before it's 1472. Next weekend, I am looking to Squeeze in Recently Restore Woodstown Central Railroad 9 (SMS 9), as well as CNJ #113 on it's Santa Trains. Then we can call it a year!
