The fact that you have to restart a mission if one of your companions dies makes zero sense for a Co-Op game. Reviving fallen teammates is literally one of the core gameplay features of those sorts of games!

That Queen Berzerker fight was probably one of the worst boss fights I have ever experienced, I kid you not the thing TRACKS YOUR MOVEMENTS, I walked a bit in front of it and strafe walked to the left and it made slight adjustments needed where it was walking based on where I was, add that to those random screen barfing experiences you’ll get randomly through the fight actively screwing you over (I had one happen and the Queen Berzerker decided to jump and because I literally had NO CLUE what was going on around me it ended up killing me) yea, I genuinely didn’t think they could possibly screw up a Berzerker fight but man……they somehow succeeded in doing so.

I really wish they didn't get so much hate from people though. The only real complaint I've had was that 4 didn't feel like as much of a war due to not even being part of the COG and having so few allies, though 5 fixed that and new features like the ability for Lancers to get headshots feel great for game play and make it feel like a powerful gun (i.e. this gun is shown to gun down enemies pretty easily in cutscenes and the like, but for all the other games it apparently could not due headshots while a lower caliber pistol could). Oh, and storywise I would say Anya shouldn't have died, at least not off-screen, but on a larger scale I enjoy the new games and have found the multi-player much more fun than the older titles.

And for some reason they try to make some humar but failed like the part with fazh and JD saying shit stick I would rather go back to wht a real gears of war it a dark gridy game not a colour game that has a bunch of stuff copied from other games so gears 5 is the least gears of war game

@@cookielord3817 I can see what you mean, though it was mainly the first one that was dark and gritty. The second was in many ways too, but by 3 it had become a lot more colorful as it took place less in the closed off, city-based environments of the prior two. From the looks of it, this is mainly due to the graphics of games overall evolving to have more color since the darkness and grittiness was how alot of games would hide their graphical shortcomings, such as any issues with lighting. Maybe the style could be adapted more for modern graphics, but I feel like that would end up very hit or miss as many fans of newer graphics might see it almost as a downgrade, while older fans are likely to be dismayed by it being unable to fully capture the same style of the past games. Also, the humor does seem to be one of those things that can definitely fail easily, but older games had their fair share of humor, albeit usually not as in your face. Overall, Gears of War, like most games of its time, has had to adapt to the modern marketplace in some ways, which can include "copying" from other games (the use of this word depends on what you mean specifically since stuff like adding an openworld feature isn't much of a direct copy of any game, but rather the developers taking note in the gradual decline of the more linear shooters). Of course, you are entitled to your opinion just as I am and you may disagree with any of my positions.

To be fair, Halo and Gears are drastically different franchises in terms of game play. For instance, as a long-time Gears fan I have never liked playing any Halo game unless its just messing around with buddies since it has enemies that take quite a few hits to kill while it also has the game play of a FPS, making it very much unlike the cover shooters I have grown more accustomed to. I guess at least for some people its a similar thing, or maybe I'm just weird.

It doesn't help that gears of war was late to the party though, Coming in a Year before Halo 3 released, which means Halo had already established itself as the face of the entire xbox platform
