This has to be an all time favorite of mine. I was the mother of an American soldier just starting his military career. This song came out during his first deployment. I would listen every morning and every night while he was gone. I would cry every single time as it was embedded in my heart. Each subsequent deployments this song would be played as I prayed for his safe return and that of his brothers. Just the opening chords brings tears to my eyes years later even after my son retired with 24 years of service. The love, respect, dignity Toby had for our military was second to none. He didn’t just talk the talk, he walked it. Thank you Toby for showing everyone what it is to be a patriot. From a thankful soldiers mother.

I heard this phrase on a movie once. The movie was "Bite The Bullet" and Jan Michael Vincent was the one who said it near the beginning of the movie. Jan M.
