What do you think about bulking and cutting. When do you think one should stop bulking and begin to cut, if you think they have any value. Big fan, props

Hi Will, I tweaked my hamstring two days ago playing basketball. It doesn't hurt too much but I notice a some degree discomfort. The day after I did some bw hinges and hamstring bridge and it feels better now. Any advice to deal with the injury?

👉🏻 For triceps workout, do you need EZ bar or dumbbells which get the job done equally? Which will have more stimulus on triceps, what is the difference between using a barbell for isolation exercises like curls and extensions compared to that of dumbbells??

Hey Will, what are your thoughts on adding Westside style mini workouts in addition to a 4 day upper/lower split program? I have been doing them on "off days" as opposed to a day where I've completed one training session already.

Have you tried drop splits with a barbell, behind the neck, loaded heavy? Enough to where you can't just bounce back up but actually need to recover and reset for each rep. I always see them done in this bouncy rhythmic way but never heavy. My coach had me doing them recently and I found them useful for split jerks but wondering if you ever use it that way in a sports performance context. On my offside they were really exposing an achilles imbalance on the back leg.

Im not sure why people are asking you about kboges because you two train very different. he does daily full body (mainly) calisthenics with an emphasis on accessability and making being consistent easy. he has a youtube channel and i think its very useful personally. ill do a "kboges style workout" if im pressed for time and do my longer and heavier workouts when i do.

Recently read a hot take arguing that administering plyos is completely meaningless for high-level athletes that accumulate significant sprint, agility and jump exposure in their sport. It further argued that resistance training is the only stimulus capable of changing an experienced athlete's structure / morphology, neural inhibitions and overall output. Would be grateful if you could share your thoughts on this. Also, I've noticed that I objectively perform my sprints better at the end of a really tough workout in spite of mental fatigue and some muscle soreness. Will this render the same adaptations as performing the sprints in a fresh and more mentally-wired state?
@zackhurwitz9441
@zackhurwitz9441 14 күн бұрын
Not that it's impossible to tell a difference without it, but are you timing the sprints? I usually do mine before a lower body lift, it helps warm me up and then I'm not doing the sprints in a fatigued state.

i believe glen advocates for a constant, flat back angle when doing rows. youre certainly doing rows, but i wouldnt call them pendlay rows.
@etimezz
@etimezz 14 күн бұрын
I think the main distinguishing factor in how its referenced generally is the bar coming off the floor for each rep. I think most people would refer to what Will's doing as a Pendlay row, maybe a variation of Pendlay row.
