As a Registered Dietitian I appreciate you showing accurate portion sizes and what you have to do to burn that amount of calories. Most people have zero idea how much they are actually eating and it always blows their mind when I show them things like this!
@Burner-td4cu
@Burner-td4cu 10 ай бұрын
Most people? Do you mean, most murican people?.. have you never seen Europeans, Koreans or Japanese?.. most normal people know exactly how much they’re eating and do regular exercise anyway. I understand the US lacks the freedoms and advancements we take for granted, but children in the states have a bowl of milk and sugar for breakfast, chocolate milk and pizza for lunch then a big ‘meatloaf’ (whatever tf that is) dinner after school whilst doing very little sport. In Europe, kids have a healthy breakfast of porridge or eggs etc, then walk/cycle to school. Have a healthy lunch and then play sport after lessons, then have a smaller dinner after cycling home. Once you’re a teenager, most kids start hitting the gym and because we’re European, we learn to cook our own food at like 10 years old. All our food is much higher quality too because we have more rights protecting us than the US

@@Burner-td4cu We have a lot of problems in the Us, but you’re off base here. By 2035 it’s estimated 50% of the WORLD will be overweight. The US is currently ahead of many counties in Europe (23% of adults are overweight), but a lot of countries are catching up and we are on track for this to be a global epidemic. The counties with the highest obesity rate are actually Islands like the French Polynesia, Paula Etc. And oh my god, Croatia and Malta have higher rates of obesity than the US. Pretending it’s just “dumb Americans” doesn’t help solve the problem. Also American kids play sports at similar rates to most European countries. We still have PE in schools and many adults exercise. For instance, the average American gets more exercise than the average Italian, but as illustrated in the video, exercise won’t keep you thin when hyper-palatable food is plentiful and normalized… and that’s happening worldwide.

The funny thing I always find about burning calories is the fact that you can also burn 100 of them just by sitting there, existing for an hour. Burning 100 excess calories is surprisingly tough though, but it does go to show how much 'work' or 'energy' goes into simply being. Take a moment to thank your internal process for all the all amazing and all too often under-appreciated things they do. It truly is a marvel. God Loves you guys go to God before it's too late, i know that it's tiring or maybe annoying to always see people like me but I'm just doing what GOD wants me to do and sharing the Gospel is what GOD wants me to do so maybe just a little bit of your time please Pray to GOD and tell HIM whatever you want to tell if you have a problem just tell HIM HE'S NOT gonna abandon you and ignore you it says in Philippians 4:6 Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. so just tell HIM. And if you want to go to GOD just follow what the scripture says with all your heart and believe that it will be done and GOD will move in your life from then on. Romans 10:9 if you declare with your mouth that, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead you will be saved.

I love this video, because the biggest issue with weight loss is people truly underestimate calories in foods and try to eyeball it too often. On second note, its sad that American foods are loaded with calories for little fulfillment. Truly, the best way to have the best nutrition and health for weight loss/gym progress has got to be going DIY in meals and groceries. The saying “A moment on the lips, forever on the hips” is so cliche but seeing how loaded calories are in American foods, its now frightening true.

I don't find myself ever breaking my diet unless it's my bi-weekly cheat day (that way I don't have to give up things I love completely). Calories are a myth...Competitive eaters can eat over 20,000 calories and not gain weight and I can stay in caloric deficit for 3 years straight and actually gain weight. Calories are a myth guys stop worrying about calories. Your body can only absorb as much calories as it needs then the rest just gets passed out the other end. That's the facts and it's why competitive eaters can eat over 20,000 calories because their body does not store all 20,000 calories like people think. It absorbs what it needs, it stores what it needs and then it passes the rest out. And then you fast after having a big meal and you let your body naturally burn the calories it's consumed and stored. I mean forget about counting calories don't believe the myths online As for the calorie deficit thing, as long as you're eating carbs then the amount of calories don't matter because your body will never ever burn stored body fat while you have glucose for energy. And your body has glycogen stores so even if you were fasting your body would be using glygocen stores instead of burning body fat. So that means you can stay in a calorie deficit for years and never burn any fat at all as long as you never let your glucose/glycogen get depleted. Pretty cool right but it shoes calories are a myth and it shows that keto diet is more effective to lose weight than calories. If you were on a no carb diet you could like 3000 calories and lose more weight than someone in a calorie deficit.

If you eat 3 meals a day, one of them can easily be 200-250grams of pizza (at least to me this is easy to do as pizza makes me feel full and keeps hunger away decently well). If you live a more active life then even 300grams of pizza with ketchup per meal is within your daily caloric limit. Eating pizza every day is not healthy but I just wanted to illustrate that when it comes to weight loss pizza is perfectly fine.

@@user-kd5sl2ql7y Unfortunately, however, many chains seem to drop the plant-based alternatives just as quickly as they adopt them. Burger King is still going strong with the Impossible Whopper, but Beyond doesn’t seem to have as much luck. For example, Panda Express discontinued the Beyond Orange Chicken, KFC discontinued the Beyond Chicken, Carl’s Jr. dropped the Beyond Burger, Del Taco dropped Beyond ground beef, and Dunkin’ discontinued its Beyond Sausage sandwich (although you’re probably more of a Tim Hortons fan). My wife and I support these options because we want them to stay on the menu, but I guess that they’re just not really a hit among consumers.

Wow. Watching this was eye opening. It's amazing to see what 100cal actually was in junk food. It's self-deceptive to think that you're "being good" for a day or a week, but then eat a whole pizza, or drop in for a burger and fries, and think that you're maintaining a good diet. I used to think that I was balanced, but when I realised how often I ate out and cut that out completely, the weight dropped almost right away.

I mean, if you stay in a deficit of say, 300kcal a day... In a week you'd be in a deficit of around 1800kcal.. Now if you eat that much extra on your cheat day, you technically won't lose any weight because well, you overate on your cheat day.

I hit 240 lbs and this month put myself on a diet, so I've been counting calories and am aiming to be down to 180 lbs by my birthday next spring. Seeing how little fast food it takes to hit 100 calories really drove home the point to me that I need to continue cooking for myself--I can get far better nutrition, eat more in volume, and it's lighter on the wallet. Wins all around.

One thing I get from this is what I've been hearing a lot lately - that strength training can actually be better for losing weight than cardio (as a begineer) , bc it's not about how much you burn during the exercise, but your base metabolice rate from just going about your day. Bigger muscles = more fuel burned. Also too much cardio and you can lose muscle too. (Though obv a sprinter has a different build to a long distance runner, but you get the idea)

I remember being so supirsed how little 2500 cal was after I started my first cut. 4 years of bulking in which I'd often have two Chipotle burritos or 40 wings at wingstop definitely made every meal seem so small. I went from 188 to 165 really fast though, 1-2lbs a week at a time and it goes surprisingly fast. Was surprised at how little muscle I really had though.

Dirty Bulking is so, so Bad because you’ll gain more body fat than muscle itself. That’s why I hate the IIFYM people that take it to the extreme and claim to eat Brownies and crap as long as it fits your macros and calories. Horrible and I mean horrible advice, but yes it doesn’t mean one day that you eat a cookie will destroy all your hard work. Enjoy like yes and work hard at the gym but always have a healthier balanced diet The next time you bulk, bulk slowly. Add 50-100 calories every week and if you start seeing getting a little bit more of fat than you want decrease back and cutt Some people add 100 calories every 2 weeks just so the body gets a bit used to the amount of food ingested. It’s slower but oh so efficiently better. Same with the cutting, always cut down slowly and have your refeed days

As for what burns calories more. Your heart rate indicates how much effort it takes for you to do a certain activity, and that effort determines the calories you burn. So it does not matter what you do. If you get your heart rate up with more effort, you will burn calories quicker. With Aerobic dance. You can get ones that are a lot more energetic. With running, you can run faster. With skipping, you can skip faster. Doing this will increase the speed you burn calories. But remember stamina comes into play as you have to be able to keep it going until you hit your goal.

Hey Will, really interesting to see how many calories are in very small portions of fast food, just goes to show how hard it is to track calories accurately. I was wondering if you could review "Bebidas Mix", they're flavoured powdered sweeteners that can be used with either water or for any recipes that you like. Not only that, they have sweet flavours such as Oreo, Kit Kat, Kinder, Cinammon rolls, and they're zero calories. They are sold by eleven fit, and found in Spain (probably among other countries as well). Would be cool to know what you think of it. P.S: Already asked coach Greg about it, but just in case you were interested.

Having just started to diet and excercise, from being a sedentary skinnyfat, it's truly shocking how many calories are in things you wouldn't even consider, like sauces. Also surprised at how many calories a couple of hours walking burns, sure it's not the most time effective but still, 800-1000 calories burned a day is no joke.
