James discussed this series of cabbage pranks in great detail on a radio show (the audio is on KZbin somewhere). He explained the efforts he had to go to, driving to several Supermarkets to buy enough cabbages to carry out his revenge prank. If you look at the photo carefully, he had also had loads of Brussel sprouts that he used to replace the smaller items in Mick's bedroom. He took a photo of the bedroom on his phone, before he removed Mick's belongings, so that he could place the corresponding sized cabbages in his room. Mick's parents obviously gave James access to carry out the revenge prank, I should imagine that if James is a friend of Mick's dad, then there's a good chance Mick's dad enjoys a good laugh too. James Acaster is hilarious on any panel show, and his stand-up is amazing, very clever, and delivered through his loveable awkward persona, you wont be disappointed if you watch any of his stuff.

It's a classic UK panel show, utterly unpredictable and hilarious. I love the way you both set about guessing who was telling the truth very analytically. Your best reaction yet - loved this! Am so glad you liked James Acaster so much, he's brilliant. If you want to see more of him I would suggest another three person story with him on it, which has James' story about a fireman called Jerry. Also I've just realised that you have yet to see that much of the brilliance of Lee - one of the other main cast members. I would suggest you to do some of his solo stories. Some of his best stories include his use of the acronym BERMUDA and his asian cookbook (they will come up if you search it with those words) and also there's a story with the video title being 'David shreds Lee's terrible confession' which is also a great one!

As 2 teachers, you certainly didn’t listen to the story. Mick placed 1 cabbage leaf in Jame’s bed & then sent him half a cabbage followed by another half from the boys grandad. The only person who bought loads of cabbages was James too prank back with. As for staying with a friend remembering James is a comedian who travels around on tour & spends night after night in hotel rooms, it’s nice when you have friends who live in towns & city’s you visit whilst on tour that say hey come stay with me & my family when you’re here. It breaks up the boring hotel room after hotel room vibe. I hope this helps. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🤷🏼‍♂️😎

@@rasmusn.e.m1064 Yeah, but I don't think it's all that reasonable. She specifically says "we got back level with them" at 3:20 in this video. @rasmusn.e.m1064
@rasmusn.e.m1064 Жыл бұрын
@@Squant That's fair. I think my personal distrust in the story was built on the basis of her not mentioning overtaking, which, as you say, is not checkmate, and then the way it seemed like she tried to save face because the audience didn't like the way she apparently handled that situation. Changing the story into her having regrets, where she used words like "so I, sort of, etc.", it just felt obvious that she thought both stepping on the other kid's hand and pushing her own son into the ground were awful. She could have just slowed down, but, again, that would be a very sudden change of heart from being in the heat of the moment.

It's cheating a bit but in later series (which are usually the funnier ones so ones you'll see clips from) it's almost never David or Lee, because they already exhausted all their funny stories years ago. In particular in the final round there's invariably one from Lee which everyone knows is a lie (and is ridiculous anyway) but the fun comes from him trying to sell it regardless.

James actually talks about it on some podcast and he went to 3 different stores to get all the cabbages XD. Most of Lee's stories are not true. Mostly because him and David are on the show every time and because of that they have run out of good unbelievable true stories.

Have you never spent the night outside your own house? James spent the night there, because he is friends with the kid's father. I don't see how that is so hard to understand.

It's interesting to me that most Americans seem to take the game element so seriously, when it's really only about the comedy. Even the panellists don't care very much about guessing correctly.
