you really helped me understand caro kann concepts. im a 1600 elo player, jumped from 1300 in like two or three weeks. Its funny, I used to play 10+5 games and i found it extremely more difficult. I dont know if it is because people cheat in this time management more, or they just play better. I moved to 10 minutes games and my elo went so high. You really helped be build my chess thinking. I play the jobava as whtie, which can be so simple and straightforward (not always..) and the caro. when opponent plays 1 d4 and takes his bishop out to f4 i started something intuitive and pretty cool - I go for something that is close to the jobava, but with the black pieces. chasing his bishop away with a pawn storm. it goes pretty well so far, and the bar shows at the beginning not more than 1+ advantage for white, but i think that with good play it really bothers white, not only to find a good strategy to develop and attack, but also mentally, facing a pretty weird opening. Again, many thanks! your content is very good. you put important concepts to your videos and show what should be the mindset of a strong chess player. keep it up!

04:20 a nice play would be knight to E5, if he took with knight, you took with pawn and he would have a hanging pawn on d4. If he moved queen to D2, you would have Queen to D4 threatning bishop B4.

bro am a 700 elo and i play always 15mins games I pretty much don't lose on time you have to play 15mins instead of 60 play solid don't over think it lookinkg for fancy tactics, people under 1500 do blunder every game so you wait for that and exploit it just make sure to not blunder you and play solid moves follow chess principle develop night before bishopes learn two openings one for white and one for black and stick to them. Trade pieces if your are up materials put the rooks on the open files, I mean its impossible to loose if you play solid moves not blundering against under 1500 elo chess players. watch chessVibes nelson channel climb rates he shares his thought while playing in live I really felt an improvement in my playing style and tactics thanks to him. stay sharp, play smart and take care

In the 2nd game at 22:45 my gut liked 12....Bg6, with the idea of trapping the R on f1. If 13. Bc2 protecting then 13...d4 shutting in the B and fixing d3. If 13. Qe3 (Stockfish) then again 13....d4 fixing d3 as a weakness. 14. Nxd4 Nxd4 15. Qxd4 Qxd4 16. cxd4 Bxd3 with slight advantage to Black. 12...b5 seems a little better. 12...h6 is best allegedly.

Nice video alex, btw i want to give my opinion on pawn move in 5:15. If we move our pawn to g6, im scared that my bozos opponent might play bishop h6, blocking us to castle. Also if he push the f pawn to f5, and we take with g pawn, then our opponent can play rook to g1, creating big attack threat to our left king side.
@MatsMatsuo4 ай бұрын
Bh6 you can calmly play Bf8, if takes, king takes and the king seats comfortably on g7 If he goes back to g5, fianchetto with Bg7 and eventually castle, theres no way for white to exploit the pin on the knight. Also there is no big attack if F5 gxf5, because there is nothing to attack there, you didn’t castle yet, the king stays pretty safe on the center with all the pawns surrounding it. You can’t be scared to play without castling, it is very normal and very good in many cases to just leave the king in the center, castling is not mandatory. The way to see these things is that either tou just brute force calculate everything, but with experience you should be able to make these considerations almost instantly. The white activity is temporary, and by principle, black didn’t make anything wrong to be in trouble
