1. You're supposed to slide out the bolt assembly to properly clean the bore and receiver. 2. That "Little Button" is the base of your Firing Pin.

My Winchester 62a with matching numbers takes 22 short or 22 LR , I love mine .

Thank you. I am on the mend but it will take a wile. This video I did before I went into the hospital, I have one more then I will have to do more. I will do the p250 as soon as I can get one.

Glad to see you are doing good after your operation. Just do what the doctor say and don't overdue it. Keep visitors to a minimum, they will wear you out.

much appreciated I just got a 62A from 1942 with the longer slide grip BUT it has a large chip out of 2+in of the fwd left side so shall I shorten and craft it to be more like the shorter and both ends tapered one you you have?

What a cool rifle. Looks like a lot of fun. 22 rifles are terrific, and it's neat to learn this bit history about them. What were shooting galleries like back then? What did carnivals do for a backstop, and for safety? I don't imagine every customer had prior shooting experience, so did the carnie operator give a bit of training. See what you've done? Now I've got to go look old shooting galleries up! :-) Glad to see you're past the procedure and taking it easy. Thank you for sharing this one.

I have a similar gun like this, but mine is having a slight problem (Rossi Model 62, a Winchester 62 clone). When I fire the gun, the shell expands and the extractor is unable to pull the shell out. Everything looks fine and seem intact, but it is almost like there is not enough grip with the extractor to force the shell out. Do you think the problem is that I don't have enough gun oil, or maybe I am using the wrong ammo (using 22LR copper plated nose 40 grain)?

What constitutes a match in serial numbers? I have one whose numbers match except that the forward number has an "A" after it and the rear one doesn't.

all numbers match and are the same. I do not know about yours but sometimes if a gun was repaired the gunsmith or factory that did the work will mark the gun wit a letter
