Where does that barrel start to choke? Right after the chamber to the full length or closer to the bore? I just put that barrel on a new maverick 88 to try it with hornady bb coyote loads.

Mine stays bore diameter all the way down until the final 3.5" of barrel, so it constricts down at the muzzle end

@matttyreeoutdoors hmmm, then I'm not sure that's gonna be any better than the newer barrell. Except I think the new barrel is overbore and the choke is improved cylinder. Maybe the old barrel being 12gauge bore all the way to the choke will help line the bb shot up a little better. But your very close to the load that works in every shotgun I've tried so far and is an absolute killer in my browning BPS with 690 constriction. Day #692 waiting on the boar blaster! Just kidding ya, sir. Love your channel!

@coyoteodie4458 haha yep, I did order a boar blaster, but a lot of them have been on back order unfortunately. It's supposed to be shipped with the next week or so, so it is on the way

@@matttyreeoutdoors that's how it went when I wanted one. Was hoping you'd have better luck. I'll let you know if I find anything that makes those hornady BB as lethal as they are advertised. So far, I wouldn't even recommend them for burglars.

mic the pellets...they are 28cal not true size 30cal #1s...velocities are not great with those lighter pellets...deer maybe...not for tougher skin hogs...unless they are up close and personal....that said...excellent pattern

Have you ever fired rifled slugs through a ported choke tube? Does it affect accuracy?

No I have not, and I probably wouldn't suggest doing it. I don't know that I've ever seen a ported choke that is rated to handle any kind of slugs
