Windblown Any% Speedrun

This game was ran today at Games Done Quick by an amazing team of three. If you found this because of that run, I would encourage you to check the game out (even just on a casual level, not necessarily speedrunning) since there is so much variety and replayability, plus cute animal skins. Of course, I also recommend checking out speedrunning the game since there's so much potential for so many categories (Any%, Fresh File, 1P-3P, etc.). Wouldn't it have been better to take the blast at 8:45?

Great question that I had myself. My opinion is "not in this case". If I had that same choice at the start of the run, I'd agree with you that blast is better because Sirocco + Blast is crazy and I'd actually be using sirocco to do damage. However, at that point in the run (end of stage 3) the only thing left is essentially the final boss. For the final boss, I'm not using sirocco, I'm using boing fish. That's why I went cursed hits, so my boing fish would do more damage and I can one shot the bosses. But if I magically had that choice at the start of a run with sirocco and no boing fish, I'd choose blast. Amazing question and good observation.
