@@ReklessStandard I’ve just played every motocross game out. They all suck. I mean some are classic but no one is yet to do it “right”. It’s 2024 and we can’t get a decent game. Crazy. So yeah I’m gonna judge dude I’m a customer. Paying customer or was.

How many times is this gonna happen? This developer has “cancelled” their game three times now after taking in money, it’s been over half a decade since they started this project, when will any sort of actual results be there to show for it? I get that everyone may be sad but at the end of the day, they’ve been working on this for a long time and only have a demo that isn’t even playable anymore to show for it. No hate but I can’t put optimism into a game that I’ve seen cancelled over and over that I’ve personally supported.

LCQ Studios has had a very rough go with the game they are trying to get out there. From what I understand tho, the lead dev from LCQ Studios works a full time job, as well as, was trying to get this game going. I think that was part of the idea behind going and getting a publisher. To fully focus on getting this game done.

We all want another moto game. Things happen, but if they would release a functional base that was mod-friendly, the community would flourish with mods for bikes/tracks/gear etc. just like MX Bikes and MX Sim. I know that isn't their goal, but it doesn't have to be over if they want it to see the light of day.

It is sad. They haven't quit the idea of the game tho. LCQ Studios is still actively working on a game.

It's a bit of a shame. My disappointment comes from how this game could've had nice AI opponents thanks to the simplified physics (I hate racing online). Milestone games, MX vs ATV games and the others have shitty AI opponents because the AI can't process and react to all the stuff. The amount of adjustments and calculations humans do when controlling a vehicle (IRL or in a realistic game) is absurdly complex and AI isn't there yet.

Bought chasing the dream, fully supported it and had friends get it. It fell through, then wishlisted mad skills motocross CTD, and that fell through. Chasing the dream felt good and was early sure, but they should have just kept it going. Honestly would love to see the game come to fruition somehow but the post they make about a "new project" doesnt leave room for faith. after two failed projects why would one finally appear? Just really sucks because myself, and a lot of others, were looking for a non hardcore mx experience that was tailored for the people. This was it, and it's gone. crushed tbh. wish hodge the best but this sucks man.

This was my biggest worry with this announcement, actually. I think it is important to iterate that we haven't lost anything these last few years and everything has progressed much further than the game shown in this video. If we could have our way then the old CTD would come back - we just aren't allowed to reactivate it due to Steam policies. We just need a bit of time to reset, change a few things, and come up with a gameplan for how we want this next release to go so it is as painless for us as possible and more importantly, the people that have supported us in the past. This last fail wasn't our fault at all but it will of course be framed as such and I have made peace with that so I am more motivated than ever to make this "next" game better than before. In motocross, if you never crash you're not pushing yourself hard enough and the same applies here. Just gave to keep getting up and back on the bike.

It was a "new" studio. Been following it since it was rumored. They asked for money before they had a prototype. It was doomed from the start.

I’d love to see a Mx game with a well thought out career where you start with low bike skills that develop as you progress along with the bike. Start with a certain budget and your own compound, build a customized bike, gain sponsors that give you discounted parts, then free parts, win money, buy equipment and unlock a “track editor” in the form of designing a track and paying a team to build it, then be able to buy a larger compound or pay to go to a training facility, go pro, eventually get a factory ride with team practice tracks, etc. Sadly motocross games don’t fetch a lot of money so a really detailed Mx game is super unlikely 😢

That would have been a huge ask as we would still have needed the $2mil. I doubt we would have been able to raise over $30k tbh. Definitely not enough to take the whole team full-time.

I really don't know. I think it's mostly just because it's a motocross game. While games like MX Bikes might be doing well for moto games, it still doesn't push huge numbers like some of the mainstream ones. But you could very well be right.

It's actually a game for PC only. It was a demo that I don't even believe you can get anymore. The lead dev said they had pulled the game from Steam with the idea to replace it with the now canceled one. It's called Motocross: Chasing The Dream.

MY THEORY · Turborilla not too long ago released Mad Skills Rallycross, a really bad game that is probably making them zero money. · Turborilla also recently made Mad Skills Snocross, a game that is probably making them little money too. · They probably tried to fund Chasing the Dream with those 2 and other games and it just wasn't enough money. CONCLUSION · Bet on better horses and this goes for both LCQ and Turborilla

I know players have asked for it, but the lead dev has said that they don't want to at the moment. I think at this point, they really want to have something that they know will be able to "get out the door" to players.

It was supposed to be a easy to learn but hard to master type thing. This version of the game was still heavily in development. Let mine you turboilla is only one dude. And lcq studio is only 2-3 dudes i believe.

They let people thought they were about to release an mx sim killer for like 10 years and came up with this hot garbage feeling like it has been developed within a few months. No idea how everyone praised this game

I don't think this game was ever supposed to compete against the sims out there. They said time and time again that this was going to be an arcade game. The praise came from wanting another mx game to play. It wasn't that this game was so polished or was destined to be the best ever. It was very early and not polished. It was mostly the hope that it would be fun in the end.
