Yes, you are awesome. Your parents values are glued all over your current self, which will and is evolving, but is rooted, and grounded in solid fundamental and experiential reality. That is good, imho. But what is so great , is that you are really such a wonderful free spirit, happy in your own skin kind of person. You really are quite amazing, and I am thankful for the opportunity to see inside your world, just a little bit. It is good that you are willing to share. Sending love.

You're hitting it out of the park. Great video. By the way , there is a guy on youtube called Simon Carter. He has a way for people to "shout him a beer" using paypal. I have given him several and If you get the same set up I will "shout you a beer" or whatever you want shouted. I just cannot do the monthly thing. I think you could pick up quite a few beers this way. Just a suggestion. Also, I just love your energy. It's infectious.

Your boat may or may not respond similarly, but when I weigh anchor on my boat, I frequently will first hoist the main, sheet it in tight, and leave the helm free. The boat slowly self-tacks, staying in a small area and periodically relieving tension on the anchor rode. This allows me to weigh anchor pretty easily. After the anchor is taken care of, I return to the cockpit and hoist the jib (timing so I end up on the desired tack). My main halyard is at the mast, while the jib halyard is led aft along with a jib downhaul.

Hey, been following your progress for a while and loving what you share, from here in the UK. You’ve become an inspiration for my daughter - she’s 10 - who thinks you’re seriously cool! I’m a sea kayaking instructor and the ‘speed bump’ thing is not good. There are many problems on both ‘sides’ and we need to learn if we want to improve. Your comment doesn’t help. Anyway - keep floating (kayak blessing 🙂) and keep sharing. Take care, Dave

Hey Dave! I'm so glad that I'm an inspiration for your daughter! We need more women on the sea. The sea kayak comment was a joke. I always give way to anything smaller than me on the water, and I have a ton of respect for every type of water sport. No offense meant!
