Donna’s favourite tent 😂😂 Great to see the new addition of the drone, you’ll have lots of fun with that Dave and scary heart attack moments too no doubt!! That first night wasn’t a day for the drone for sure 😮

A cracking trip out in May....best month of the year for me 👍. What a grand spot is that Dave, next to the rocks with the wimberry, heather and little trees dotted about. The cuckoo was ace 😎. Bye for now, Chris

Cheers Chris , it might not have the majestic views like the lakes but I love it up there . I like July/august when the heather is in full bloom . Cuckoos plentiful up there , apparently a golden eagle has been spotted in this valley after a rewilding programme from the hills in Moffat

Great vid Dave. Definitely can relate to ‘not feeling it’. 10 months I was out the game. Finally got back out this week. Looked a lovely spot that. Nice and chilled. Cracking vid as always. Take it easy, Craig (Wildcamping101) - have a new channel now. Got shut of the old one
@BorderRambler Жыл бұрын
Alright Craig , yeah just not as enthusiastic as I was . YT is saturated with camping channels trying to out do each other . Roundabout camping etc I’m not into any of that , I’ll just stick to simple camps ⛺️👍 I will give you a follow on your new channel atb Dave
@IntotheMountains_ Жыл бұрын
@@BorderRambler I know what you mean Dave. Lots of channels now under the camping umbrella that are… different shall we say. I started a new channel to try and focus on the mountains rather than “Camping”. Only resubscribed to a dozen or so channels that I enjoy watching now. As long as we enjoy what we do that is all that matters though. Take it easy mate. 👍🏼

Ah he's out in his wee Lanshan! I absolutely loathe that tent 😂😂 was howling at the mention, thank you. Yours is a Lanshan Pro though, so it's a single skinner without all the mesh of that Night Cat or regular old Lanshan 1. More spacious. And yours is a nicer colour. I hate mine. Lovely to see the Bewcastle Fells all lush in greenery though, we were out camping that same Sunday night so I know it got nippy overnight. And the midges could be out in real numbers if you got caught up the hills without a breeze! Yikes! Lovely drone footage. I'm thinking about getting one, I asked Miriam Kennedy what she uses, and hers is a DJI mini 2. What do you use Dave?
@BorderRambler Жыл бұрын
I just had to mention you and your similar tent , tongue in cheek tho 🤪 it’s looking very lush up there at the moment . We were only about 10 miles as the crow flies across the summits , just down from Peel fell.? For you. The midges tried to make an appearance but I was too quick and gone lol . I got the dji mini 3 pro which has loads of safety built in ie collision avoidance , I’m still learning tho so nothing too fancy yet .

It has for me I’m around 5 10” but I will say,I spend most of the time outside until its time to bed down. It’s lightweight and packs small and ideal for better weather camps in my opinion.
