I really liked it! In some scenes we made similar musical choices :) Some years ago I also used Spitfire Libraries, but now I've switched completely to Orchestral Tools, which I find more suited to my personal taste. Great work and good luck!

Wow what a fantastic score! A lot of it reminded me of Stravinsky which is such a fantastic approach for this animation. Great work

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. I almost didn't enter the competition because I thought it was too hard. The Free Orchestra patch from Project Sam was very helpful for this one.

Nice work! Liked the piccolo (was it?) lines to highlight the tension during the action sequences

They were actually built-in runs from the Project Sam patch that I used.

Hi, mike, I loved your entry! The way you use the project Sam patch, the musical palette as a whole (really sounds like a cartoon soundtrack one), the lyrical parts.

Man, this is some AWESOME stuff! With the way this was scored, I could call you Carl Stallings successor! Good luck with the entry! Could I ask what you used for the percussion/muted brass? I'm currently trying to find a library to pull off these aspects but haven't got one quite yet!

Most of the muted trumpet and percussion came from the The Free Orchestra sample library from ProjectSam projectsam.com/libraries/the-free-orchestra/ I used a combo preset in that library to sketch out most of the sections to give that 'cartoony' feel. I did use some Timpani from EastWest.
