you say go with the smallest board, i am in the practicing foot swaps phase, and it seems like a larger volume board is alot easier for foot swap practice initially. also, you mention that booties hinder the feeling of the board. I wear 3mm booties in tropical weather for protection against the foil as your feet / lowe extremeities are most likely to collide with the foil in a wipeout. I havent really come close to hitting the foil, but as i try new moves and progress it seems like a risk that is worth protecting against.

Once you get used to a smaller board, everything is easier and more fluid on it. Yeah, the booties do provide some level of protection from the foil and reefs/rocks, but when it's safe to ride without them - it's really a noticeable difference.

@@SilverFoilSurfer so even the foot switch will be ok? I am doing good with foot switch on my +20lt board, but having great success with the bsc 1120, when i go png 1150, my foot swap success rate drops a bit. Anyways, i will start to practice on a smaller board soon. I already tried +10lt board and the turns and going up wind were way easier.

You should try the New power HM mast from axis . Have also the project cedrus , good stiff light mast for cruising but above 17-18 knots going across, or upwind have to much ventilation issues ! Glad the new axis mast fix that , but very heavy ….

@@SilverFoilSurfer i got the hm mast recently, and its way better when your using the larger wings, it feels easier to do everything, plus you get like 20% extra speed from the same wing. Huge difference.
