Hey Dick! I'm using lizard skin 3.5mm, the thicker one. I've never had issues with bar tape too short, do you roll it around the bar too tight on each roll?

Charles Ouimet me too. But I find it too short. If I don’t roll it too tight, then gaps start showing after hard rides. Very frustrating.
@borano20313 жыл бұрын
@@Tchairdjian Are you wrapping in the correct direction? Rgr
@Tchairdjian3 жыл бұрын
@@borano2031 hi there. I wrap it the way I’ve seen on several KZbin videos. I start at the and of the drop downs, I turn it from inside to the outside then I do a figure 8 around the hood (I know this is old fashioned but I need the hand support there...) and then for the top I switch direction and I wrap it from the front to the back to follow the twist of my wrist when I’m climbing and hang on to the bars. I’ve since increased the overlap to avoid gaps appearing after long rides... but it’s definitely not long enough to get too close to the stem. It barely goes around the bends. It’s a cheap think so I don’t understand why they can’t give us longer tape. Haha

Hi Charles! You made me get the Winspace bug! I’m going to use your code to get one, but I wanted to know your opinion on something. I’m 5’7” and ride a 47 frame (Cervelo), but my toes overlap on the front wheel a bit (1/4 inch) with a size 8 US shoe, even with my cleat position as forward as possible. I have fell a couple of times because of it. 1) Do you have any issues with that on your Medium size frame? I’m at the point I want a larger frame (51) with a longer wheelbase and 165mm crank arm length so that I clear the wheel 100% (it’s not a problem at high speed, more a thing that happens when I’m almost at a stand still balancing with my feet at the 3 and 9 o’clock position and turning the wheel side to side to balancing). 2) what comes in the box when you buy a frame with disk brakes? What other parts of the bike are included? Your wife’s Blue pearlescent paint scheme is badass! When I get mine, if I like it, I plan on getting my wife one as well! Thanks for your help...
@CharlesOuimet4 жыл бұрын
Hey man Glad I helped with my video! If you are 5'7, a 47cm frame is WAY to small for you, no wonder your toes overlap this much. So yeah I have the medium, i'm 5,6 and wear 8US shoe but my cleats are all the way to the back ( heel side) because it gives me more power. On track stand or tight turns at 1km/h, it might rub a bit sometime, but never make me fall. Bottom bracket comes in the box with the frame and everything you might need, so either Di2 or mecanical cover for the frame, risers for the stem, etc.. Yes her paintjob is amazing!! she love it
@imtiazchowdhury99034 жыл бұрын
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought I saw on your unboxing video that you have a 470mm (47 cm frame), and your 5ft 6. I spoke to Charles at Winspace, they said the 510mm (51) would be too big for me, so I ended up ordering the 470mm. I don’t know, I hope it works out! 🤞

Anyone here have an old road bike that hardly or doesn't use anymore? I would like everyone to know that I'm open for donations hehe. I always want to start road biking as a hobby and enjoy life as long as I'm still young... Btw I'm from Philippines and I'm 18 years old.

lots of wrong information. Best EU bikes made in China are in Taiwan, where export rules permit the best in Japanese Toray carbon manufacturing . Two, go ask those cyclists au saguenay with warped Chinese wheels going downhill Dans Le Parc. now winspace seems good for frame (though not Taiwan Specialized good) but i would not trust them for seatposts or handlebars. or any mainland company. too many fakes..
@CharlesOuimet4 жыл бұрын
Hey man. I have my full review about the frame coming shortly. But you don't seems to consider the price. A frame equivalent from Specialized, Trek, Giant are in the 3000-4000$ price range. The winspace comes at 1300$. And about the wheels, seat post and bar, I've been on the frame for more than 2000km riding heavily, pushing 1300w+ on the regular and everything is holding up as it's supposed to. They might have a bad reputation from cheap knock-off brands from ali-express, but winspace is a legit brand, 3 years full warranty, they cares about their customers and are looking to create a reputable brand outside of china! Anyways, have a good day :)

Are you sure taiwan makes speciaized? Don't they outsource it to China a very long time ago and just have it assembled at Taiwan?

Why you say chinese bike, chinese wheel, chinese bar instead of its brand name Winspace? Don't you know 95% of carbon bike are manufactured by chinese (China and Taiwan) ? You name it all A-Z brand are manufactured by chinese

Because it's a hook to watch the rest of the video. People still have bad perspective about chineese brands, but most of the bikes are made over there or taiwan these days

Taiwan is not China, and why TSMC is moving semiconductor plants to the U.S. if it were China SMIC would not be 10 years behind... so no, dogmas or meridas made in Taiwan are not the same as those in india nor the mainland ..

@@paullogan8329 probably not as good for comfort, but close enough that most cyclists wouldn't see the difference. Performance wise, it's again extremely close. I got 6500km on the Winspace and it still feel just like day one 💯
