Always love the collab between you and Mark! What a great match! I felt like you’ve improved from your recent videos and this match proves it. Mark played great from what i could see and you played really well too. The sound of your balls coming off the racket is just next level, so loud and crisp.

@jdmar340Ай бұрын
Winston as always, love the work you do and the vids you upload. You're in the best situation a tennis player can be: your groundstrokes and court coverage are pretty solid. If you improve the serve and smash (basically same motion) your level will take a huge leap. I think you need to let the arm movement be more loose, unleash that whip feeling of accelerating your racket before impact. It somehow still looks stiff right now. You'll be able to mix up a few flat(er) serves with that already good kick serve. Keep up the amazing work, I love the channel!

Nice...some good points in there! Great to see your videos....your game is looking good man! On a separate note: In these lighting conditions (bright sky and shaded court) Maybe manually open up the lens to get more exposure ..(let the sky blow out a little) it gets dark and a little hard to see the ball. I wonder if one could use a graduated ND filter (keep the sky from blowing out too much while the shade is exposed nicely) ? 👍👍

You know when mark starts slicing a lot that he is getting desperate. He should completely reengineer his backhand and learn how to play with a 2 handed backhand. One hand backhands are trash unless you are in the top percentile of pros who can pull it off.
@TenisAmadorАй бұрын
@@kesun32145 Not necessarily "desperate", but perhaps tired as hell. Hard disagree on the one handed backhand, though. It suits amateur tennis way, waaay better than pro tennis, as amateur tennis is played in slow motion compared to pros.

That is the classic example in the tiebreak by Mark of Winning Ugly (as described by Brad Gilbert). No great shots, just lots of getting it back, let your opponent screw it up. Winston has the experience to win this - he's won points in tougher positions off better players - but this was about getting the ball over the net just one more time than the other guy. Who cares how it looks as long as it's in and you win the point. Lesson for us all.

Winston, you got to work on your serve! it looks like your racket face is too closed when serving as if your grip is more of an eastern forehand than a continental grip. Most good servers have their racket face a bit more open to very open. You can see your knuckle is on bevel 3 (eastern forehand) instead of 2 (continental). I think with this change and some work it will greatly improve your game as you lose a lot of point on double faults and relatively weak serve. Great improvement overall, especially the backhand. You were the better player in this matchup

@TrumpforPresident24Ай бұрын
It's a habit. If he was getting coach by a pro, it would get cleaned up. He needs to lean forward into the court with his toss.
@MichaelSienkiewiczАй бұрын
@@TrumpforPresident24 It's one of those things that he should be aware of and it's an easy enough fix that I'm surprised he hasn't taken care of it yet. Winston's serve still a huge problem but he has to totally overhaul his motion and arm action which is really hard.
@TrumpforPresident24Ай бұрын
@@MichaelSienkiewicz what surprises me is they are KZbinr. They should be able to correct this themselves by watching themselves how they play and micro correctly correct their form. Roger Federer does this. Whenever he is done playing his match, he would go watch himself to see how his form is and correct his form. And that is why his form look so elegantly. But Djokovic does not because his is to win without form. That is why he wears Bruce Lee shirt at one point. I could talk on and on if these are interesting for you.
