That's a great idea! I love hammock camping in winter or cooler months. Thanks for sharing your idea with everyone.

The shoe rack is genius; I really like your innovations. Obviously why you're so sprightly as an active senior. Just like a large pupating bug in a very warm rug. I use a large tarp over my hammock and tents, I live in the UK, North West England, we get a lot of rain and snow in the Pennine Hills. Stealthy? 6 people walked within a yard of me and didn't even notice. Sgt. McKay would've be proud of me. You truly are a happy camper and that says a lot and draws in new people to learn the wonder of the great outdoors.

What's the point of the frost blanket? Wouldn't a regular tarp be a better choice?
@KennethKramm4 жыл бұрын
Frost blanket is light weight, breathable and raises the temp

The frost blanket in an interesting idea. Which one did you use?

Great idea! Thanks. How much of the 12' did you zip? Also, how much did the completed sock weigh?
@KennethKramm6 жыл бұрын
7'

@@KennethKramm I got a 10.5x12 frost blanket and 7' zipper. If you zip only 7' out of 12, how do you seal the rest? Do you trim down the blanket at all? I seem to have a lot of blanket with the 10.5' around the hammock, although if I put up my rainfly I could probably attach the top part of the sock to the line between trees. I was thinking of using another zipper, or just use a run of Velcro at either end with the zipper centered for ingress/egress. Do you have a diagram showing the dimensions and where the zipper is placed for best effect? Thanks!

Ken, how do I use a large sleeping bag as an under/over quilt? Do I cut a hole in the end?
@KennethKramm5 жыл бұрын
cinmay2000 great question. I use a hammock that can be unzipped from both ends. Several brands are made this way... easily purchased at stores such as Academy.
