You mentioned most of my favorite plants too. If people plant a few of the plants you mention every time you bring up your favorite every month, by the end of the year they will have interest in their yard all year. Thank you! It's nice to have knowledge Gardeners in the Pacific North West.

Than you for the video. I always enjoy learning about plants here in western Washington. I have two hellebores, one has been blooming for about a week & the the other is just starting to bloom. And my japonica has buds starting to be more visible. Looking forward to see that in bloom. I also have a dwarf forsythia in a container & it is full of buds and will blooming late winter. It's so good to see plants survive even the random ice storm we had a while ago. The violas came through just fine.

The Mahonia media “Charity” is unfortunately not native and comes from Asia. There are 3 native mahonias the PNW Mahonia aquifolium (oregon grape), Mahonia nervosa (dull oregon grape) and Mahonia repens

I have tried winter hazel a few times with no success. Might you tell us what they like soil and light wise. I've put it in 3 different areas. Just like try to grow a native current ! I don't get it,lol

most camellia arent very fast growing, beautiful sure! But not the fastest evergreens.
