Happy Thanksgiving, I live in north Florida so don't really need Winter boots. Just want to do a plug for Hisea. I have had a pair of their wading boots for about a year. They are comfortable for me. We are hobby farmers with around 20 cows that we breed & sale the calves. I wear these boots mostly first thing in the morning when the ground is wet & when we have rain. I had a problem with the original pair. One of the boots started leaking when I was wading in water. Hisea was very pleasant to work with & had no problem sending me a replacement pair. No more problems. I had bought a different brand that lasted less than 3 months, they wound up disintegrating. They supposedly had a one year warranty but I could not even get in touch with the manufactorer.

Do you need a para Dunlap they’re made for the same material is it done the tire one pair so far going on 10 years in any boot like that you get make sure you’re steel toed

Happy Thanksgiving! For boots, something I’m having really good luck with is the Dryshod Haymaker Gusset boot. I’m through year 2 going on the third winter with no leaks, no shoe goo needed yet. I use them for flood irrigation, working cows and just about any chore on the farm. They do good on ice here in Southern Wyoming at 6700’ elevation. They are rated for -20 to 75 F. I use them in summer during the mornings, when they start getting to warm I roll the tops down to help cool off until I can get into my leathers. I believe they were about $120 USD, looks like they’re around $160-170 now.

@@This1LifeWeLive they do have heavier and women’s models, I think Cabelas carries them. My feet tend to run a little on the hot side, but with reflective insoles and good Moreno wool socks, I do good feeding cows off the trailer in -30.

I use this type of boot. They last a season or maybe less. Sometimes, it is detergent exposure that causes problems. Others, the top gets damage as the material is too weak. One thing that helps me, is to go big. My size 12 foot, stays warmer in a size 14 plus size 13 can be hard to get on and off. Also never purchase the mittens sold at Costco as they don't last, purchase Kinco mittens and gloves. In cold wearher mittens with additional set of gloves for fine work is an effective solution. Using gloves along not matter the brand is a green horn/desk dummy mistake in bitter cold weather.

My Hissea boots lasted a bit past the season, so a bit above average compared to the other brands, but a fraction of the price. Plus they are warrentied so I can send them back for a new pair. I have a pair of kimco mittens which are great but a bit bulky ;D hard to find gloves in my size :(

Cheap and very warm. They had replaceable liners so I simply replaced the liners when necessary. Hope you’re well and having the time of your life 🎉

These boots are made for walking. Appears better than others. The muck test is a critical one, where the mud is a foot deep and you can't lift your leg without leaving the boot stuck in the mud. Farmers know this happens from time to time. And that's just at the time the cow decides to come over and be friendly as she pushes you. AHHH!! Happy Thanksgiving.

Definitely enjoyed this video, mostly for the comparisons and real life experience. I am looking at new boots, Hisea has made it's way on my radar. When comparing to $200 standard for name brands I do find the $80 tag quite agreeable. But I'm curious if you've had more experience with the boots now? Still wearing Hisea year round? Did they stand up? Are you back with Lacrosse or Muck?

Being someone with large calfs I don't generally bother looking at common boot brands but go with the ones I'm used to. Currently they are a duplicate of my last duty boot, HAIX Fire Hunter leather turnout boots. Not your normal work boot but they work for me.

My dearest young lady, THANK YOU for this info. I am in need of a good snow boot for when I'm out snow blowing our large driveway and parking area. It take me a good hour to blow off all the snow. I have a large yard tractor with a snowblower on the front of it and my feet get so cold. Dew to my age and diabetes. So it's hard to find a boot that will keep my feet warm. Happy Thanksgiving! Having to go through Winter Survival and Snow Cat certification and re-certification every couple of years, I learned a real huge secret, Gators. Out here to get to the mountain top microwave stations, I have had to drive over 20 feet of snow. Gators when properly worn will increase the warmth of any boot, and keep any snow from going into the top of the boot. That extra layer of water resistant cloth over your lower leg and boot really increases your boot effectiveness. Also the other thing in the training I learned is the only boot with no recorded instance of frostbite is the white Micky Boots the military uses. You might want to try a pair of them. Sportsman's Warehouse is where I got mine, and I just got a pair to give to my sister-in-law who lives in Michigan, and she loved them.

So, I actually DO wear my winter boots year around, especially if I'm in the water. I added extra intersoles in these too to help with heat retention and cushion. I have never had issues with any winter boots worked in all day, so hiking would be fine.

Georgia Boot, rubber bottoms, leather uppers. I get 3" cut off They are Cowboy Style) and a decent loop added at the back to pull them on which is difficult. $80. Very pricey in Canada. $260 for the pair plus trimming. Long lasting. Eventually separate at the leather/rubber interface. It is in a flex zone and should be higher. Bad design.

I've worn out a couple pairs of Muck work boots over the years. I sized them extra large and wear Bama Booties (or similar brand). Once my feet get damp from perspiration, I put on a dry set of booties and put the first pair on the heater to dry. I'll trade them out often and can manage the colder temps a little better, as long as my feet are dry. I had not heard of Hisea before...I will check them out. Thanks.

You'd think that by 2022, durable farm boots would have been figured out. Your experience with three different brands is pretty disappointing. Hope those Hisea boots work out for you, but I'm guessing they won't (at least long term) as they're inexpensive and generally you get what you pay for. Especially when it comes to any type of footwear.

But, they do have a one year "anything" warrenty and a lifetime defects warrenty, which is better than everyone except Lacrosse . . . so at least if they DO fail, you can still rest easy ;)

@@This1LifeWeLive the cancer was caused by a tumor on the knee, I'm OK with the fact that it took my leg as I look at a man named Carl Brashear a US Navy Master diver he was an amputee as well, but the distinction of him is that he was the first amputee master diver, and was black, things happen in life that define our destination, I was making a joke about the half off on foot wear as I only need but 1 boot, I have to have a good sense of humor as it does help, I love your videos, my original comment was meant to be funny, have a good holidays
