I'm sitting watching on a cool Perth morning wearing my Montbell puffer - and dreaming. When I retired I was fit and active and planning to get back into the hills like this. Nothing too onerous, just trips like this that were within my scope. Instead a serious autoimmune condition - a consequence of certain recent mass medical intervention - means this will likely beyond my reach for now. Instead I can watch you and pretend. For this I am so grateful. Looking forward to seeing you keep developing this channel.

@@AbelandVictoria I bought it about 15yrs ago and it's still going strong. Got it with one of their spiral cut sleeping bags at the same time and I've been happy with both. I'd confidently take both into these same conditions. I like the look of the YakTracks - ideal for the conditions commonly encountered winter tramping.

Excellent vid thanks. Mt Arthur a great spot to try snow caving - I find building a snow igloo best, need less deep snow and just cut blocks with your shovel. The weather can get pretty ragged and you are still relatively secure - and insulated. Still gotta get home though...

Another great camping trip Abel. The cozy huge sleeping bag was a plus. The scenery coming from off the mountain was beautiful! And those hot dogs were scrumptious looking.I couldn't believe you ate all 6! Hahaha!!! But like you said, you had to replace what it took climbing up to the top. Wow, what a beautiful place you live and have access to. Your doggies looked delish!! 🌭🌭Heinz and mustard all the way!! When you have a chance cook them over a campfire using a stick. A little char on the outer skin of the doggie adds to the taste! Not an option this trip! Glad you had cleats for your boots on the way out. Watching you on the way in I was thinking you need boot cleats. Looking forward to your next adventures.

@@AbelandVictoria - I don't know about any that connect to a phone.. but you can get digital aquarium ones that have a probe on the end of a cable. You can put the probe outside and look at the display from inside. That's the kind I use.
