Hi friends! Dave and I are really enjoying the snow coming down and wanted to share with you. We love to decorate and share our collections and it was easy for winter!

I did not know James had passed? I am so sad. He and Dean and their books inspired me to decorate and collect. My husband and I restored a 1745 cape in Ma. and they inspired us so much. We loved living like that. We were members to OSV and Historic Deerfield for 28 years. I ran an antique shop with my sister in an antique school house for many years. Both my husband of 52 years and my sister have passed yet such wonderful memories remain with me. Bless you both and your family in 2024 and always.

Happy New Year ! I have had my strand of cranberries for years now, on fishing line and I just put it away in my Christmas bin!!!! I hope yours will do the same !!! I too love the snow !!

How beautiful! We are having our first snow storm in Massachusetts today!❄️Love your winter decorating! You inspired me to put my old wooden sled on the old trunk in front of our couch & decorate it with an old wooden box with pillar candles & sleigh bells! Thank you for the wonderful idea! I absolutely loved Jimmy Cramer and “ Seasons” is still one of my favorite books to pull out each season! How wonderful that you were able to acquire some of his treasures! He was an amazingly talented man!

Friend of both Dean Johnson and Jimmy Crammer for years when we lived in MD not far from their home in Keedeysville. Love those guys who taught me so much about primitives. Jimmy and I had a love for old homespuns. I will treasure them both in my heart forever.

Beautiful. I never put away my cranberry garlands, I just hang both ends from a nail on cupboard side or a peg rack and let them hang u shaped. Brick would look nice in fireplace mantle, have you considered a board with simple painted picture- hills, sky , willow tree and of course sheep. Primitive, not fancy style, mimicking the idea of fireboard. You two are so talented together I bet it would be awesome. Thanks for the video

Beautiful video and happy New Year from central New York 🎉. I buy mittens at thrift shops and church sales all summer and use them on mitten trees and across my mantle too. Our home is very primitive and I leave up greenery, skates, sleds, mittens, etc for winter. I use oil lamps, candles and lots of early lighting, red Union suits, lanterns, skaters lanterns, etc and just love the coziness of it. My cranberries have lasted for years, they’ll be fine❤. Everything looks so cozy, warm and welcoming. Trying to declutter and organize one room at a time throughout winter

Love this.💖 It reminds me of the 22 years we lived in Pennsylvania and the farms our friends have. We lived on 1 acre back there. My grandfather (my dad's dad) was a farmer, and so was one of my mother's brothers. I'm in a little 1915 house in Washington State North Central in wheat farming country to be closer to family now,

What views you have! The hills touched with snow are magical! Wonderful that you keep Jimmy Cramer and Dean Johnson memories going for all of us who loved their style. They taught and touched so many of us💕 Your winter decorations are an inspiration for me, so I will bring in the sled and top it with a lantern and Mom’s old skates to enjoy as we welcome wintertime. I have some scraps of an old blue and white coverlet that will make up into sweet mittens. Happy Winter❄️

Love the bowl of sleigh bells - those are beauties and have a great patina! Yes, what to do after the holidays and before spring. True, it was nice to see some snow in Massachusetts today but on the South Coast we got it mixed with a lot of rain so I'll be glad when it warms up later in the week. I did collect some pine cone treasures during a walk in the forest with my dog though on Wednesday, along with a few chestnut pods with seeds inside, and also have a small pile of old man's beard which will make a nice little wreath in soft dusty green. A big pine branch came down out front too and I can make a wreath out of that too. I live in the woods but it's nice to use what Mother Nature puts on the ground. The mittens were also a cute idea and I loved the sleigh with the lantern and skates. I see that Amazon has that book used so it went into my cart. Thanks for the inspiration - love the simplicity of your choices and this cozy video!
