Hi mate, the rod we are using is a Shimano Nexave Winkle picker! I think it might be discontinued now, but there are lots of other rods similar on the market :-)

Hi DpClips... thanks for posting. Ummm top three winter Carp Baits... If I had to go somewhere in the winter and catch carp I wouldn't go anywhere without 1.) Maggots, 2.) Corn, 3.) Pellet... all would probably catch, with the favourite (if its really cold) being the good old humble maggot!

Haha, yeah its only a small lake and is stuffed full of small carp! Normally they feed throughout the winter months, so is a good place to go to try and get a few.

Hi mate, its the Shimano Stradic we're using. Its one of the old Stradics though! I think they seem to bring out a new one every year! ;-)

This one seemed to slip me, thought i'd watched all of your coarse fishing vids. This place you're fishing is very much like a small lake near me, stuffed full of small Carp, with bigger ones too but they'll only feed in the summer i think as the biggest i caught last winter was no more than about 3lb or maybe 3.5lb but in the summer just gone i had one around 12lb. Last winter was just catching them on corn, didnt need anything else just bomb and corn but i'll be trying a small method/banjo feeder and a small cage feeder this time (as well as my pole- didnt have a pole last winter) to see if i can catch quicker...especially as i'm casting more accurately now than i was when i got into fishing last winter! Nice one anyway would like to see a few more of these in the coming winter, fishing bigger lakes too.

Personally I think feeder fishing with an avon rod is sooo much easier. They are more flexible and give a great bite signal

Hi mate, Ummm as far as tips go on making video's I'm not too sure to be honest! I'm no expert! :-) I would perhaps say try and film from different angles, make sure there's action in the video, try and offer some nice tips. Just a couple of ideas! :-) Cheers FTWE
