Tim really good video do you buy or make your own bungs because they were bright colours just like to say you must have excellent eye sight to see that bung from the distance you were casting tight lines

Those particular bungs were shop bought . Not from here im afraid I picked them up in the States from Cabellas . The Fulling mill fish pimps are good ! My long range eye site is great .. my close range is getting worse the more flies I tie !! lol

Those boxes were fulling mill comp boxes , been discontinued for some time now , I believe Franks flies do a similar box ...

Hi Tim, I noticed you were using the wychwood floater there, do you know if the little dipper is any good for long casts or fishing lures?

Little dipper cast just as well and sits lovely , perfect for nymphs and buzzers or the washing line . If your looking for a pulling sinker go for the Ghost intermediate .

Hi Tim, it was flat like this last time I whent fishing and didn't think about using the bung.It can be deadly at times and this video has persuaded me to give it another try.What fly boxes were the big ones at the start of the video? I've been tying some flies and run out of room to store them but those fly boxes were a nice size

Its a deadly method in a flat calm .. especially in the winter and the spring . Those fly boxes are the fulling mill A4 clear boxes . Wychwood do a superb double sided box called the competition viewfinder .. you will see that in some of my other vids .

A question Tim, when tying droppers should they be tied so that they point up towards the fly line or down towards the point fly.? Thanks for uploading this video.

Always down towards the point fly , much better presentation and less tangles, also less stress on the knot .I use a 3 turn water knot .

@@timjoyceflyfishing-essex6769 The half inch that gets nipped off after we've tied the knot, my wader pocket now contains hundreds of the poxy things. Annoyingly too short to use a monomaster which is perfect for the scrap leaders etc.
