As someone who moved to Germany from the United States in April of 2022 (and someone who enjoyed your video on the California Zephyr prior to leaving) I feel our paths are inexorably linked. It's an odd feeling to watch someone else going through the same sort of process at the same time and not know them personally. But it really draws me to your videos.

I've been coming to Leipzig since '93, and I moved here from New York 19 years ago. What I Did For Love is my life's theme song. Gay culture seems to be in permanent hibernation in Leipzig - it's kind of like the Kansas City of Germany. Looking forward to returning to my beloved Heimat, Los Angeles, as soon as my husband retires, but we've got a few more years to go. Enjoyed your work very much.

Homosexuals were seen as a danger and unwanted in the DDR secret police forces (StaSi) "potentiel Staatszersetzend" ... the very real possibility of being watched by the stasi cloud end ur job and make ur live very hard ... the silent gay culture that grow out of that can still be felt .. also go at the Elster or the west city center and u'll find gays in 5s ^^

welcome in Leipzig. For me it's a really nice place to live. I moved here 9 years ago and love the town. Here is all I need, green and relaxing places, nice restaurants, really kind people and much more. Here also many places for swimming and hang out with friends, for shopping or have a deliceous dinner as well. I really love it here.

it is but maybe i am biest as it is my home City cheeper than berlin less overloaded but a meltingpot too modernity meets history artsy as well but maybe stay away from the left radical place of town and Eisenbahnstraße XD but like every city has places to avoid

Why? Oh you need a bit explaining. Ok here is some. Why everyone came to germany and first lives ore visit there sees Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt and the east? Most of you misses so much in the south like Heidenheim, Freiburg, Ulm, Augsburg, Saarbrücken and so many other beutiful citys. Ok and some of you knows Stuttgart. One of the mos.... no the most uglyest City in the south. i live there and i was born there so i know what i say and after 2013 its horrable to live here.

Pleas next time go to Freiburg, Heidenheim (yes tey are first league this season), Augsburg, Union Berlin, Gladbach ore Leverkusen but Leipzig ? Never do that. Ok as a Freiburg fan i am more pissed of tham than others but everyone says that. Eaven go to lower leags like 4. League Stuttgarter Kickers ore 2. League Elversberg ore 3. League Saarbrücken ore eaven Magdeburg in League 2 ore Regensburg in league 3. So many great clubs but your going to leipzig -.- Only Bayern München would be worse
