That albo is beautiful! I would have bought that in an instant.

Loved seeing all these beautiful plants, thank you! Our NC Winter was fairly mild so I am sure this is why most of my houseplants acted like they didn’t have a clue to slow down on their growth. I can’t wait for the fast growth to begin in the Spring. Good luck to all of us during our new Season of growth! 👌🪴🥰

14:00 I've read and heard that they actually look for the dark. Because they like to grow on trees in the shade, they tend to look for the shadows because shadows mean trees, trees are something to climb 😂

I've noticed insane growth this winter too and I feel it might be because Pennsylvania had a more mild sunnier winter (until this last month lol). Also we were bumped up to zone 7 from 6b (S.central PA). Not trying to bring politics into plant life lol but it could possibly be some 1st signs that we "average folk" are truly seeing when it comes to climate change and global warming? It's hard when you hear on the news about ice melt & sea level rise etc... unless you're coastal. But I think we've all noticed the increases in temperature & storms. It's logical that now we'll start to notice changes in the growth habits of our plants...inside & out.🤷🏽♀️💚✌🏽

My Hoyas have never bloomed. I have a Krimson Princess that has gotten huge but no blooms. I sometimes wonder if I could have flat mites after seeing some KZbinrs talking about those, but I have enough to deal with between mealybugs and spider mites to worry about microscopic mites that stunt the growth of Hoyas! They grow fine. They just don’t bloom so perhaps I need to fertilize more.

I would keep that albo. It’s seems harder to find them with that kind of variegation. Beautiful ❤

Those long branches are flowers
@AlohaPlantLife10 ай бұрын
On the Hoya? No, that’s just how Hoya grow. They push the branch first and then the leaves will develop all along the branch which is what is happening since I filmed this video💚

One of my Marantas went dormant at the beginning of winter. It then shot up a new leaf. Then died. Would you continue to water it and keep it in bright light and wait? My other Maranta (lemon lime), has been growing like crazy. I woke up yesterday and it had some leaf curl and a few center leaves are yellowed (they weren't the day before). It's opening a new leaf and flowering so I'm not sure if I should consider a repot, or if it's the hormonal weather causing the heat to be on and off at very different intervals regularly this winter and it's making her mad or what on earth the issue is for this tantrum? She gets 12 hours light a day, has never prayed unless she's a Satanist or is following the sun to Australia 🤣 and she gets Brita water BC my calathea likes it. She's in a 4 inch grow pot which she came in end of summer or early fall and I've since given her a cover pot BC she's really heavy on one side and drapes down and does not hesitate to jump. I need a new ornata! I only have my rattlesnake calathea (might be something else that is similar as it's not long) left and I'm so shocked! I had an ornata and a medallion last year and I think I over parented them by moving them too much in the fall of 2022 and they never came out of dormancy. Up until yesterday I thought I had figured out my prayer plant issues 😭 Oh and I did get new fertilizer after your video. Mine has expired in 2017... I just went with a miracle gro BC I've never had issues and it's inexpensive and balanced. It says safe for weekly watering at their recommended dose but I'm still cutting that to about a quarter. Thanks for any tips Drea! I don't think I congratulated you in kitty number 3 last week! I'm excited for you! When I watch on my tv I often forget to comment! I know losing Toby was beyond heartbreaking but I think Toby would think it's great that it's taken 3 to replace his level of awesome and that BC of him 3 kitties got a home they wouldn't have otherwise! 🧡🧡🩶🩶

What's the ideal location/condition you find that the monstera albo grows best?
@AlohaPlantLife10 ай бұрын
A couple feet back from a southeast facing window, but quick reminder that I upgraded all of my windows from the builder grade ones, so the light is not quite as harsh anymore because of that

Hi, great video as always 😁I wanted to ask, what does it mean that Gloriosum dry rotted. I don't know if I'm not familiar with the term in English (I'm not native), or if the rotting occurred because the Gloriosum was not watered enough?
@AlohaPlantLife9 ай бұрын
Dry rot just means that the roots got dried out too much and became hydrophobic, meaning that they couldn’t rehydrate or absorb water anymore so they just sit in the wet soil and rot away.

Great video as always. If you don't end up keeping the M. Albo, you should at least keep a cutting from it! 💚🤍🌿

Do you worry about the hoya on a trellis choking itself out by moving it to keep wrapping? My pubicalyx is all over the place and I'm scared to force it back to the trellis like it could choke itself out. Mine is a pubicalyx but it looks really similar to your WG just yours has less elongated leaves but the growth pattern is extremely similar! Including the whole "why the heck are you way over there" thing 🤣
@AlohaPlantLife10 ай бұрын
I don’t think you have to worry about it choking itself out I mean, just don’t wrap it too tight or anything
